So, based on your own agreement with Angus about being diversified in O&G on potential alone, why would you not want Aminex to be one of your 20?

Delays or not, you know as well as anybody it has huge potential so why do you constantly want to trash it when you tell us you are actually still in it!

What have your other O&G investments got that Aminex hasn't? I'm sure some of 20 would be explorers just the same and that means risk.

In fact what has any other investment got that isn't a risk? Every investment is a risk even those in the FTSE100 you can count bank savings in there too.

I couldn't say with any certainty Jo because as I said yesterday, I don't have the schematics.

Seized pins could mean bushes need to be replaced which again would need a press, but we really cannot speculate and at this stage and there really is no point in doing so, because we can't change it. Seals, bushes and pins, I would expect to be off the shelf items for the drill supplier so if not carried by the company could be in country within two days if not overnight.

I think we have to remember HE 1 is a small company and I personally wouldn't expect them to carry the level of parts and tooling that might be expected on a north sea rig that I gather you have experience of.

I personally think we will be good for a Monday morning RNS on reaching TD because with the right tooling as you say, it shouldn't take too long to fix

I'm not a driller, I'm an engineer and I wasn't referring to you because as you say you know drilling. I take that at face value so it would be nice if you could take on face value the opinion of an engineer.

I'm concerned with people with little or no understanding getting the wrong idea and over worrying about things that can usually be easily repaired. As you call it knowing the craic, or lack of in their case. I'm also concerned with people deliberately whipping up fear.

So as I stated not wishing to question your skills but can you please explain exactly the process of changing the seal? Which seal it might be and how many seals are there on such units?

Can you also explain why they were unable to open the unit on site?

You see, if a pin was partially seized because of a failed seal it may it may well need a powerful press to push it out and it could also need heating up to ease it. A major power press is not something I would expect to find onsite.

Given your own experience surely you have seen these units having to be taken away to a workshop before?

How many of you even know what an iron rough neck is? I posted a video yesterday that shows what it is and what it does.

It is a hydraulic piece of equipment that basically holds the drill string and screws the sections together. It is a much safer way over the old methods where the roughnecks men who would do it manually with chains.

The reason it went to the workshop was they were unable to open it to change the seal on site. That tells me it needed the use of a powerful press to push out bearings or pins etc and that a small porta press that would probably be onsite was not powerful enough to do it.

I see no reason to panic over this as it is just a mechanical engineering repair. Personally I think we wake up on Monday morning to find and RNS stating the drilling began on Friday night and they have reached target depth and that wireline testing has begun.

They are certainly not going to tell us the repair is complete without testing it on the job and by the time testing is complete they will probably have reached TD

The repair holds no fear for me. Engineers know how to deal with these issues and will have done it many times so it's best to trust the real experts on the ground

Don't want to get into ramping, but I am thinking mid teens on discovery and the fact we go into Itumbula straight after should keep that upward momentum going.

Some are trying to downplay the second drill no matter what they have been told about the weather. The fact is the pad has been prepared and it will have cost a pretty penny.

I think we have to be careful not to get ahead of ourselves and expect too much too soon as that will only bring disappointment if it's not achieved.

I read the above statement as it was written meaning purely that the pump is EXPECTED to be installed in October. It says nowhere that it expects 250bopd will be produced from day one.

One: The date of installation depends very much on how easy the clean up was to achieve

Two: The reason for the Rod pump was to continue clean up and ramp up production before installing an electrical pump which is more susceptible to damage from downhole debris.

I agree entirely an update on progress is due in the next few days out of courtessy to the shareholders if nothing else. Having provided an expected date they should at very least inform us of the current position.

I'm just concerned that if an update comes that the pump has been installed without giving figures it may set the twitchy bums into action and we know it will attract the stock bashers. The same can be said if clean up has proved difficult and installation is delayed until say next week for instance.

It may well also be for that very reason that an RNS maybe withheld a little while in order to provide some figures

An tweeted update on readiness of Itumbula well pad wouldn't do us any harm.

If as she said they expect to have operations on the current well all wrapped up during next week it would be comforting to have it confirmed that the next pad is ready and waiting.

I suspect we may get something of that nature in the morning as if the TD results are not announced

The problem occurred on Sunday we are only just into the fourth day.

As Lorna said the electrical fault was resolved overnight while the rough neck went to a local workshop as they couldn't open it up on site to do the repair.

There were jobs on HGVs where things could be knocked out with a bar and a sledge if lucky, but other times when only a press would do it.
