RE: Genedrive RNR1 mentioned in this USA article today…27 Feb 2024 14:57
if people here can't see and understand gdr is in the grip of a death spiral finance deal - even having watched the sp lose nearly 90% in less than a year then i don't think there's anything that can be done for them.
it's tragic that this kind of thing is allowed in the uk but that's what the aim is for, for the pros to fleece retail. and it does, time and time again. there are a few rare wins but the vast majority of what happens on aim ends up in retail losing money. the reason someone is after gdr is because there is genuinely a lot of money to be made from the products but sadly the management and rf don't give a rat's **** what happens to share holders. why the nice delays now? ask yourself that question and if you can give a sensible answer then you carry on, throw money at this willy nilly. i suspect you will end up with nothing. the company is far, far too close to being broke to for comfort and cheek has no way of gaining more cash other than asking rf for another handout. the longer they leave it the more leverage they have. they are now, and probably have always been what's termed as an 'activist investor' which is working in its own interests rather than that of the company. if they can run it into the ground and pick it up for peanuts they will. and they won't batt an eyelid at hundreds of retail investors losing everything. it happens on aim every week.
it's lost imo. prof is right, the market knows cheek and genedrive is up to something and that it's not going to be a happy ending. good luck if you choose to hold.
