Add, I prefer not to say here. Happy to talk with you privately. My opinion was based on facts not emotion. That's all I would like to say here. That said, he has done well since then and I have therefore changed my opinion.

Add, I wasn't impressed with DV at the start but things have changed. As you say, he and his team deserve a chance. They have done very well of late.

Hope so. Most of all, DV and his team are showing vim and vigor. This is refreshing. Let's see what happens next. Quite a lot of news could be announced at any time.

DV is doing a good job. Like all of us, he's not superman. Why stamp on green shoots? He's set out his plan. Let him deliver it. It's never been a question of being able to deliver instant results. Any chief executive needs 3 or 4 months to come to terms with all the issues around him or her. He's doing well. Let's see what happens next. Perfectly feasible to have further announcements this week.

Have you been to London recently, Needy? Plenty of vicious crime to frame here too if doing so is your fancy. Meanwhile, London life and business go on.Just like they do in Ecuador.

In my view, their start was patchy but they've really done well of late. Encouraging.

My opinion is that Mr Rule should have another look and be prepared to change his mind if the facts have changed. Which I think they have.

Don't agree with you there. In a similar way that I was more bullish on TAM than you a few weeks ago, I am now of the opinion that we have a CEO determined to press on rapidly with his stated agenda. Part of that will be to 'get ahead' in relation to certain things in contrast to the way that the company has 'fallen behind' in the past (which he readily admits). In short, strong progress on all fronts is what I believe will happen. I think DV will surprise with the speed at which he deals with the various tasks ahead. We shall see, of course. I am not saying I am right and you are wrong, just a difference of opinion.

Yawn. Oh Buffet, how about having a word with Mirador and convince them it would be better not to expand their already successful mine in Ecuador as they recently announced they would. Silly Lundin and NMM, why oh why are they doing so well at Fruta? You need to get on the phone quick. Surely, they are eager to take your advice!

Wonder why latter are so busy and what their motive is? So confused :-) I hear 'Buffet' is advising the Chilean government to close down all its copper mines due to earthquake risk. I didn't realise what an important fellow he is! :-)

Chilean copper mines are in the same broad geological and seismic zone as Ecuador’s, with both sitting on the Andean Copper Belt and exposed to substantial earthquake risks due to tectonic subduction activity. Chile produces around 24% of all the copper mined annually. Where there's a will (and cash to earn) there's a way. It's called skilled mine engineering. Must try harder, Buffet, must try harder.

If I was the teacher marking your school homework, I would put in red pen at the end, 'must try harder'. It really is laughable what you are (attempting) to do. There are folk here who have put years into researching this company and the region. I guess the 3 majors have done too so that they are comfortable owning over 32% of the Company between them. Must try harder, Buffett. Also, quite sad that you've borrowed the name of such a remarkable man. Can you imagine him just diving in all of a sudden without doing any proper research beforehand?
