Probably one of the most balanced posts I've seen in the past few days...I think there are quite a few with their own agendas and working against the SP through shorting etc and whilst the company ain't in best state certainly it is not hanging over the cliff just yet....whether it gets pushed over will remain to be seen but I would genuinely hope for employees that the callous and disrespectful are the ones who lose out.

Ship movement is available on Marinetraffic but assume that's not what (or who) you are asking...worth noting it's still moored so not going out today it looks like...points towards finished drilling...or no oil in recent cuttings...or neither!

It looks like FS Carrick may remained moored today (it's usually on its way by now, arrives around 12, leaves 4 back for 5 give or take the last few days) so if it stays put then it could tie in with that bearing in mind they won't need it for testing...could be for other reasons however!

An interesting excerpt from Corallians FAQ docuement in relation to the drill....may be relevant where we are now...maybe not...

"Elevated levels will however only be experienced for a short period of time, with drilling operations for the 36 inch section lasting less than a day and drilling operations for the lower well sections combined lasting around 14 days.

When drilling through the reservoir objectives, in the event that oil is encountered, the drill cuttings may contain residues of reservoir hydrocarbons(called oil shows). In the event that oil shows are observed, Corallian is committed to containing these cuttings. These cuttings would be skipped and shipped to shore for appropriate treatment and disposal. However, if no oil shows are observed, these cuttings will be discharged to sea, as per the non-reservoir well sections."

I think some are looking at this the wrong way around. ALGW are not looking for II's to buy their shares as such, partly as there are so few out there but also they are more interested in getting them to buy into their funds (this is not an E&P company where the SP dictates the cash it can generate to operate)...not saying the venue is top drawer professional but many of these fund managers do business in the pub anyway...id be almost more concerned of a raise if they do roll out the red carpet to shareholders as they would indicate they have ulterior motives with the SP....would be good to get some meat though on what's been going on. That may still come...

I'm sitting on 2% of Alpha so a few less to go around...may have a play with a few but the bulk is for when this goes from essentially a shell to a fully functioning business....

25th and 26th Dec were not available for reporting due to some sort of public holiday if I recall....

There was an intra day 1m buy Monday as well if u recall...

They were all buys over 1.9 as I bought the 250k and 750k tranches myself....profits from AAOG I wanted to park as I've been hovering around this for a while...

That is one side of the coin and one that does have logic attached to it...as well as desperate optimism mind you....the other is that GH simply can't close a deal larger than a few million...time will tell and I hope for GH it's a tactic as he will be sent packing with his tail between his legs back to Canada if he has simply run out of ideas.

A fair summation WTD, today smacked of amateur hour by the BOD. Poor communication with an appearance of contempt for shareholders...shame really but I should have read more into Neill's woeful public speaking skills and realised that these two perhaps are not the skilled operators they like to describe themselves as...I really do hope they can get this over the line, for everyone and the asset that is there. NC & GH just need to prove they are not a couple of charlatans, and not just to PI's now as the City didn't seem too impressed with them either...I know GH reads this board so...'stop blowing smoke out of each others arses at public events and just get it sorted!'

I would go as far as questioning the competence of GH as CFO if he can't deliver....liked the guy but he is yet to deliver on his primary brief in the company. Hopefully by this time next week it's all immaterial and we are looking forward with optimism.

It is a deadline,one which NC and GH were confident in the outset of meeting. They were optimistic a month later as well. Whilst it's true it can be extended I do feel they will have some explaining to do beyond 'talks are progressing' if simply out of respect to their stakeholders. Surely the process is advanced enough now to release some information that won't be a detriment to the process. Many of us have stuck with I3 since IPO (and before) and it's time they settled this issue once and for all...

Fair enough, was following a post on Twitter and it seemed in the right place at the time. It is a big ship for our simple job. May explain why it's being shadowed as well.
