Morning Yayay.
Those on the right wanted to be 'little englanders,' the rest didn't like the EU immigration (ignoring that was only ~half of it) or fell for the rhetoric IMO. I am reminded that when on a camping tour of Europe with friends in 1966, we passed through 7 countries and only got our passports stamped when landing in Belgium and entering Spain. All the other crossings checked our passports within a minute or just waved us through without stopping. The UK has never really engaged with the EU or tried to review and renew it, just spat it's dummy out every 10-20 years on single issues. Now we are leaving amid chaos and acrimony to give Germany a dominance over Europe after over 60 years of peace that the Kaiser and Hitler failed to achieve in ten years of two wars. All IMO of course, but is this good a legacy for our grandchildren? Rant over, must shut up!
Am I joining BBBaz as Mr. Grumble?.........LoL!

We were always going to regret Cameron's EU referendum, just like the Scottish referendum. The only beneficiaries are the politicians who care more for themselves and their parties than they do about the ordinary people of this country. Regrettably it is our children and grandchildren that will suffer the consequences.

Bellers, like you I'm in senior citizen mode and am in SXX and SGZ. Have been to visit the gold mine twice and Woodsmith earlier this month where (for Old Rascal) the scale of works is truly impressive. Both also have in common teams that are personally and financially committed. Here in Cleveland (not far from Woodsmith), many ordinary locals of all ages are invested in SXX for a variety of reasons and aims, so no-one should generalize on investors. Both the above are good (IMO) for a short/medium gain rather more than any bank will give and if we can coffin-dodge for long enough, we may see a dividend! The mines are interesting, the investment fun and they are getting built! GLA. Regards, R.

Morar, a pleasant surprise would be long overdue, especially for those who have been here rather longer than I.
Eck, that seems a quite realistic view.
TLC, in the meantime, some intended timeline including intention to proceed to phase 2 production after attaining phase 1 output, plus a Grampian Project exploration target plan for 2019 would (IMO) encourage the SP and investment value. That would support John Bently's words and NLR's,........but perhaps after NLR has got his 50% back!!!
Perhaps at the AGM, you might include questions on the above timeline and on SG's website!

Yes, Cononish is of course key, but forward intent is what investors will also look at. I was just being a bit mischievous on Nat, as some of us here have likely less time left than he. A new lady geo...........eye candy?........another box ticked! There may be a queue for the next mins site visit! Lol! As today we have 'Sir Kenny,' you might ask Nat if he has a timeline for the Grampian Project to achieve Cononish2 and 3, as time is not on his side at 60 (?) to become 'Sir Nat' for services to a "significant Scottish gold industry."
Also, will Scotgold be recruiting with an eye for gender equality in mining as that might help?

Afternoon all.
A mostly blue day on a Monday for SGZ and a blue sky day for a visit to the Woodsmith Mine site of Sirius Minerals. Impressive progress on enormous excavations and constructions. For anyone interested, their website recommended:

Perhaps when Cononish construction gets going apace, we might get a more pro-active website and hopefully a mine site construction visit next Spring or Summer.

That's a relief! I thought the SP might have dropped when the market heard of a mine site visit today by a group of retired geologists! LoL! A sunny day to view the encouraging progress of enormous excavations and constructions.
The RNS has (IMO) just reminded the market that Stage 2 finance is moved back from Q4 2018 to Q1 2019, so rolling it into a bigger $3.4 to 3.6m raise of which only £3m will be debt and for the rest (for the revised MTS as per a previous RNS), all cards are on the table. Could be a long Winter until it all falls into place in the Spring. Time to hold and top up on dips if I can. GLA.

We all have our price, especially if like us, it's too late for saving a pension pot! Then the market will get some shares for others, but perhaps not until NLR has over 50% again and the PR gets into gear when Cononish is up and running. All speculation on my part.

Thanks for your thoughtful response. You are right that a pro-active website is no guarantee of investor interest, just like surface chip sample grades are no guarantee of a mine. At the end of the day, it is the financial fundamentals that count and this means Cononish 1 up and producing and a drilled off and calculated resource for Cononish 2. That said, yourself and Yayay are right that even allowing for the necessary prime focus of Cononish, keeping the current website up to date is a small, but important detail. AAU with similarities to SGZ and the website a useful model.

Thanks for taking the trouble of digging out the archive data from 2011. I missed that, my only excuse being that I only became aware of SG by accident in 2012! Hence my point that anyone I talk to about SG is always surprised to learn of it and interested to know more. When I have a moment, I'll have a trawl of the archive for anything else of interest I may have missed!

Can't agree more about the need to update the website as I have posted on this a couple of times myself. A dot UK domain would be more appropriate too. All very well NLR and LTH's buying, but there is still (IMO) great potential from a wider investment interest. Now that the PP is finally settled, surely SG can promote itself more freely for the benefit of Cononish and Tyndrum? Take a look at the website of the only other developing UK minesite:

OK it's far bigger scale, but the focus upon achievement going forward is obvious. Not the size, but the presentation that matters!

Your focus on Beinn Udlaidh is interesting as you mention high grade Au, Ag and Mo data of which I was unaware. I'm cautious over single samples, as the extent and persistence of mineralization within this large vein are key. Nyree's thesis (pp83-87) illustrates this point in respect to BU main vein, though SG may have further data on this since 2013 and I look forward to further news with interest.. I'll leave SG's geos and you to yomp up BU..........too blooming high for my arthritis! LoL!
