Sad to read yesterday's panic posts and sells. Since 2011, I have been here abouts twice before to put investors in to a paper loss. Average down and patience have twice brought me to sell at a profit later on, even though I did not get my timing right. This share owes me nothing, so looks like repeat time. At least this shake out of loose hands might get rid of some posters from this board filling it up with pointless gossip. It might then become worth reading informative posts again as few stalwarts from 2011 remain. Another blip in the road to overcome as before.

Glen, lets hope it gets a fast boat, since Au/oz over £1170 /~$1430. The last time the BPT start-up was imminent, the SP was ~£1 (equivalent). More shares (equivalent) in issue now, but here's hoping!

As I said, "What do I know?" Magically, two late reported trades pop up and it's more like 100k sold, 51k bought and I didn't notice that the LSE tally abacus is broke again! RM and Glen must know more about knowing!!!

45k bought and 20k sold across both markets today only gives a 3% rise against an 8% fall yesterday on ~even trades over the day, but early sells. Maybe they want us to buy? Maybe yesterday's early sells were someone's stop-losses knocked out by MMs on the excuse of a scrap of news? As RM says, the AIM roulette wheel is unfathomable. At least the trades and posts today where up for a Friday!

No, a good day at the office! I was never keen on this Pomar Au project with it's As content. Doable yes, but a potential environmental headache and I could never get a convincing reason from SG for wanting to do this when I asked. Along with France, they seemed like someone;s ' good idea st the time and it is only costing peanuts.' I'm glad the penny has dropped along with the Pomar license. Focus now on Cononish and the Grampian Project..........as it should be IMO.

Easy for BBB to seize upon a 27k sell and set off bemoaning, but look a little deeper...........37k sold, 10k bought and over on NEX, 27k bought and none sold. That roughly evens up on all the days trades. As for the SP, maybe not someone selling on news, but a great opportunity for MMs to knock out a couple of stop-losses to pep up the number of trades......all smoke and mirrors! At this lower SP, likely someone will mop up some, though everyone on this board seems skint just now. Perhaps BBB will average down??? LoL!

Hi RM. Have got to agree with your sentiments on your list of villains and idiots and all of them focused irresponsibly upon themselves and their schemes, regardless of collateral damage. Cameron only promised a referendum that he didn't believe in for a few more votes to get rid of Clegg and the coalition. So now everyone pays in anguish for years after. Rant over!

Have got to agree with those of you saying that lack of news on progress and website update is not helpful. SGZzzzzz! It needs positive news and/or imminent/start of gold production IMO to break 40p.

No good looking back, guys. SGZ has never been nearer and (by the way) GAL is about to restart as an u/g mine. The time to average down or get in SGZ was around 25p.
BBB, you're an ex-mining man. Have you ever known a mining project to be on time and on budget? I don't know of one.
Unless you are a lot younger than BBB and myself, getting in early requires being prepared to trade on what you think are highs and lows and hope you get it right! Anyway it's more fun and more interesting than a cash ISA!

Bear in mind that the 2015 BFS did not include staged production now to be used, so the timing may be a bit longer, but it gives you an idea of likely grades in the first few years after the initial development phase in 2020.

As you can see from above, you don't have to go back 35 years. There is rather more recently dated drilling data in the SG RNS Archive back to circa 2009, but I don't have the inclination to research it again!...........Life's too short! I recall that one old SG communication did give intention to get to highest known grades early in the mine life (perhaps that ties in with the above), but much will have changed now and practical and safe mining procedures may limit that intention.

BBB, yes, BPT (it's an age thing, LoL!) and yes it was in jest. Our recent £5k seller may not be performing at such a strange time. Perhaps bought around 25p earlier and maybe decided to take a modest profit now rather than wait 5 months or so, having other investments (canals?) in the meantime. Who knows? Perhaps he'll be back in time for Xmas!
Yayay, some of the recent recorded sells at just a bit below the mid-price are likely to be buys as the LSE computer runs only a simple calculation. Others here (very!) likely know more than I.

In May 2016, imminent production by the BTP enabled me to sell out at £1.04 (equivalent) and BBB suggested that made me a 'speculator!'. LoL! How many free-float shares are there now compared to then anyone? They will be a much smaller proportion of the total issue now, but still enough for speculators approaching production to make some upside IMO. How much? Who knows?

Heavens preserve us! Are geologists to be replaced by computer programs? Useful tools for large data sets, but only as good as the quality of data and algorithms put in. Those at SG are hopefully making progress this season.
