Good to see Scottish gold potential getting noticed by serious press, especially Scotgold. Eris gets a mention, but hardly a 'race' to be first to produce. Eris results show promise, but so far just a load of boulders! Finding the veins, their grades and dimensions will take a lot of work and Scotgold are streets ahead.

You are a tad younger than I (if I recall correctly), so do not be overly preoccupied with your eventual demise, for surely you must endure beyond your canine companion(s), a visit to Cononish 1 and perhaps even Cononish 2. The chronicles of South Worcestershire are legendary, deserving of continuation and if you have filed previous chapters, you should surely consider a combined tome that could rival the 'Lord of the Rings,' though in your case Scottish gold ones of course! A best seller for sure!

This week SP a bit subdued, as is the PoG and interest shifted elsewhere in the market it seems. 19 days to St. Andrews Day, so time for St. Brides and BBC to up the game and production start will be significant, but who can blame anyone for awaiting reality after so long? The 'proof of the pudding' will be in achieving Phase 1 target production. Roll on 2021!

The answer to my question was promising in that the ion-leach can give indication of the type of mineralization, which may be useful in deciding on choice of exploration targets. Good to see her demonstrate the pro-active role of a mining geologist in day-to-day mining guidance.

Someone else asked about the possible recovery of other metals or minerals. Scotgold is involved in the ION-RAW project that has a view to recover rare or strategic risk elements. Also, monazite mentioned as an assessory mineral. This is due to be mined in Tanzania, processed on Teesside as a source of rare-earth elements for high-tech uses:

A wonder that Canonbie hasn't joined in this thread, knowing him to be keen on tourism and being (as he once posted) on an 'offshore' island. One way of generating money from a resource is 'virtual' tourism. Perhaps a 'Scotgold Story' website with videos, information and pictures, plus for a modest fee buy say 10 or more shares, become a member with notified download updates, a glossy pack, a wee 'snowflake bottle' containing Scottish 24ct gold flakes and options to buy Scottish gold jewelry. Perhaps it could be done jointly with 'Tyndrum Gold Village' community and a piece of land parceled out so Dibs can be Lord Dibs of Tyndrum! I wonder if anyone at Scotgold will read this? LoL! Details in my last link. It overlooks Cuil Bay on Loch Linnhe, about half way between Loch Etive and Loch Creran, between Oban and Fort William. A claimed area of natural Scottish woodland that has been sold in tiny lots along with titles to prevent it ever being sold for development and raising money for 'preservation' of such areas.
