I think the uncertainty over the CH4 sale is hurting us.
I really wish the Government would decide either way.
No one is going to make a move on ITV with that uncertainty hanging over the industry.

BT given its size and transparency is more likely to be closer to the average.

If that were the case the BT share would not be trading at 160p!

Usually with a shark circling the price of 160p would already include an element of bid premium?

With the usual 35% bid premium that means a usual successful bid of 216p.
What makes BT different?
Bids are based on current market valuations without a competitive scenario.

The company trades at 160p.

The whole company is trading at just over 160p with sharks circling.
Let’s hope that tomorrow we get a bounce but shareholders need to get real - at a base of 160p even 220p might succeed.

Without a competitive bid it’s gone at less than 250p.

Sorry but there has been considerably more than a sniff of a bid from Drahi for months and nothing.

The BT BOD are in trouble and they know it - time is running out as to mount a reasonable defensive against Drahi they needed raise the share price or stoke interest from elsewhere.
They have done neither.

With a share price of 160p the BOD will have no choice.
In reality they know the only defence is a higher share price or a competitive bid.
Sad facts.

DT are key but without a competitive bidding scenario they will also be realistic.
Without a competitive bid 230-250p max.
They won’t hang around for a better offer.
But who knows maybe someone else will step up?

Market Makers have been pretty irrelevant on SETS shares for over 20 yrs.

Frankly not expecting any bid for BT to be much over 230p but that’s considerably more than we will achieve without one!

I see this in the 130-145p range Dec to Mar results update.
Understand media markets still rising into Dec (post ITVs Wed update) and expecting a strong Q1 2021.
Really hope CH4 privatisation is scrapped and given Boris’s slump in popularity it seems likely.
