I have loads of data but I still don't know what's really going on but I do think some hedge funds etc have closed some sizable shorts on various broker dark pools over the last couple of days.

buy, sell dats data is meaningless except when looking at just the AT trades and total book volume and OB volume.

I have access to the data (L2 Sharepad)
They were all Off Book trades.
To be honest even the buy sell data is meaningless as many like me use a prime broker and buy at the lower price and sell at the higher price.
Then add the broker dark pools usually recorded as OB reades and .........................

Your have to ignore all OB (off book trades) if looking at trading data.
But i am sure you knew that.

Friends and colleagues at the Daily Mail and The Sunday Times were kind enough to give little old Betaville a mention over the weekend following Friday's UNCOOKED Alert about the private equity firms interested in THG, the online retailer also known as The Hut Group.

it's possible that the PE guys are shorting now.
it's in their interest at the moment to hold the price down and can close at the perfect time for themselves.
