Someone is buying the increased shorts as the price is holding.
So someone has to be accumulating.

Someone certainly sold a 1m or so into Friday's closing auction and this selling continued today.
I seriously doubt it was a long term investor?

The Boots merger / WBA takeover to facilitate Boots listing / PE takeover was the Twitter rumour a couple of months ago and it came to nothing so probably best we move on?

Greater market looks horrific today so i suspect they will back off as any rise would be rather obvious.

Even I use an algo to buy these shares.
There is no choice as its traded on so many exchanges and broker pools so it's the only way to accumulate without tipping the price up/down everywhere. Franly it's a nightmare.
I assume that's also why there are so many off book trades as even the likes of HL seem to use a broker pool.

The 'someone' was created a 'bear trap' yesterday but today is more obvious and confident.
