I really didn’t think 2022 could get any worse and had hoped they had already ‘kitchen sinked’ it? - I assumed the CFO had gone as I read the Jan release and then confirmed a couple of days later.
But you think there is more to come?

Understand but there was advance notice of the strikes and everyone else made contingency plans so not really a credible excuse for a PLC.

Given the timing of his exit and the absolutely inexcusable horrendous financial reporting miss, MM knew it was him or his CFO? - The miss was either deliberate or an inexcusable gaffe? No other explanation for a company of this type, size and age.

Last time in January he threw his CEO under the bus but who goes under the bus this time?

I don’t disagree again.
But the real danger is than MM does it again and fails to deliver anything that was promised or just expected by all.
I worry know that the market is right about MM?
If that happens without proven active shareholder interest this will collapse again?

I don’t think any sensible investor would think otherwise.
Just hope it’s a move forward not a pointless and self defeating stand for independence by MM?

The buy back recommendation shows how desperate the current situation is.
They need to lift the share price and shake the shorts PDQ.
Desperate measures for desperate times.

You seem to believe the market has infinite patience?
To be fair it’s not just the market but many large founding shareholders have lost patience.
I believe change is now needed quickly or the company will wither and die as a PLC unable to raise capital as the share price is so depressed.
But that’s why we now have 2 rumoured activist shareholders.
He has run out of time unless he changes PDQ..
Sure this won’t be universally popular here but it’s the reality

The point of the targeted share buy back is the raise the company valuation and dislodge the shorts.
If successful the company will be raise finance again.
A higher share price is critical to THGs longer term survival as a PLC.
That’s everyone seems to be forgetting.

Respect your position although I would argue that without short term change this investment will not be worth anything long teem. The current management course can’t continue however long your timeframe is - It’s a disaster.
The company is undervalued but only with a change of course.
I strongly agree with Kelso’s immediate changes as a start but it’s only a start.

Your outlook doesn’t offer much near term joy to anyone long.

The only solution is that either MM finally sees the error of his ways or is forced out!
I prefer the former but little evidence so far that he is moving that way under his own steam?

Could be a tough results day if no one declares a position prior to results.
I agree a MBO would be a good solution but as he turned down two bids from mates last year I just can’t see it happening
He needs to be forced to the table!
Sad really as he seems not to realise that it’s his management style that has caused the company’s troubles.

Agree but without pressure from activists I don’t see MM delivering on any of that.
The only reason we got an RNS confirming the weakest of the recent batch of deals was pressure from Kelso.
We need more, much more pressure from Sparta to crack the stubborn MM.

The only thing that will help short term is Sparta revealing their hand preferably BEFORE the results on the 18th?

We need activist shareholders to push MM into correctly managing a PLC in the interest of shareholders and not himself.
His track record isn’t good.
