You have a point although I think you credit MM with far too much integrity and humanity.

I think the issue is that the buying (and selling) is not immediately reported to the LSE and so not immediately logged at the FSA - They use brokers and brokers trade differently using broker pools, off book trades etc etc so the data is flawed.

I appreciate your years of experience but I am considerably more sceptical about MM’s motives given his actions as CEO of a PLC especially since the series of supposed bids last year.
But we all want this price high although I foresee a different route.

I agree but not sure things will end well for MM.
I sense that the Institutional Shareholders have already called for help from 2 or maybe 3 activist shareholders to control him.
They will also have harnessed the Chairman.
