If you scroll out you will see the designation actually covers multiple areas widely separated. No miner listed. Says placer gold so could be areas reserved for locals to pan for gold if that’s true doubt the government going to make themselves unpopular by giving the areas to Kefi or anyone else especially at this time. That’s my best guess anyway could be wrong.

The three areas have gone from Kefi exploration licence in review which suggests a holding pattern pre TK deal to pending payment verification,(which suggests the licence areas are Kefis on receipt of payment) however they would not be Kefis even on receipt of payment till the TK deal was done as according to the agreement between kefi and the government they would expect some of the funds from TK deal to be spent on exploration of those areas and future revenue from TK “and operational cash flows of TKGM”.

One of the areas completely surrounds Kefi so is the only area “adjacent”if you had been on the site before you would recognise its the three same areas. Doubt Kefi is suddenly applying for three random areas lol.

Ethiopians do not need to wait for elections to sign documents no chance of the present government losing the elections but would be advantageous obviously for them, mining officials and politicians to have a good news story before Election.
