George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
The reagents have been ready, and unchanged, since last year so it's certainly possible.
From the Q&A: "A large number of Affimer reagents that bind the spike antigen were generated in 2020 and worked on with Cytiva and other partners throughout the process of developing the AffiDX SARS-CoV-2 antigen rapid test. The Affimer reagents themselves were not “tweaked” or modified following their initial discovery in 2020."
Why does every detractor talk about our 2020 revenues as if they're anything to with the fair value of Avacta? The potential sales from our LFT, Affimer licensing, AVA6000, Pre|Cision, TMAC etc, all add massive value to Avacta above the likes of Nova, who are a purely Covid revenue generating company.
I hate the, "us versus them" mentality, but these companies are completely different and should not be compared in such a rudimentary manner.
.
Completely agree Tricky, Mologic have done very well in completing a wider validation study which further solidifies their results. I hope Avacta will do the same. Very exciting for all companies involve!
The s/s figures are not present in the Avacta RNS as they are already known (98%sens, 99%spec) as per the separate validation RNS (https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/AVCT/clinical-validation-of-affidx-lateral-flow-test-cq0zbg851uwxx1a.html). Both the Visitech and AffiDX LFTs have performed very well and I'm looking forward to seeing Avacta follow Mologic with a wider validation study, as mentioned in the Avacta presentation, "GAD is already making product that is being used for verification and validation studies (plural)".
I am of the personal view that both tests will sell very well, and you can be sure that ODX will be very busy making one, if not both, of the tests.

@Pennyfortheguy: "Oh, so it can’t be Mologic, as Mologic is explicitly mentioned as a third party!"

"For me its because its been updated with todays date and full contract given with "services commenced" ;) "the contract award date reported in the Awarded Information Section refers to the day before services commenced as opposed to the date on which the contract was signed.""

Some rather annoying and deceptive people on Twitter who purposely hide dates to mislead investors.
