This is the latest info I have received from Halifax Share dealing Service:

"I have checked with both our voting and perks department and our corporate events department, and they have confirmed we did not receive the “Shareholder Circular” which was issued by Flybe on the 27th November 2018, the circular can be viewed online at various research sites, however I have copied the circular notice below, the notice indicates that it was available to view at https://www.flybe.com/investors shortly after publication.

Further to the announcement in the Company's interim management report published on 14 November 2018 regarding a transfer from the current Premium listing to a Standard listing on the London Stock Exchange, (the "Transfer"), Flybe announces that a circular to shareholders (the "Circular") setting out further information regarding the Transfer and containing a notice for a General Meeting will be posted today. The General Meeting will be held at 9.00am at the offices of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, Adelaide House, London Bridge EC4R 9HA on 14 December 2018.

Copies of the Circular will be shortly available at https://www.flybe.com/investors and it will also be submitted to the National Storage Mechanism where it will shortly be available for inspection at http://www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/nsm.

Had we received the circular and you had registered for the Voting and Perks facility on your account we would have notified you of any upcoming General Meeting and sent a proxy voting form to you as appropriate.

I have also received confirmation from our Corporate Events department that the details from the circular and the proposed resolution would not have,- even if received – generated a corporate event notification as there was no impact from our, or the customers perspective."

So Halifax were not informed, how was I therefore supposed to be informed, who is responsible for making sure shareholders were aware of this information? No one can be expected to be across every RNS issued and every research site every day for every company..........it certainly feels like someone has messed up here and to me looks quite deliberate - thoughts?

Thanks again Taverham, I have written to both the FCA and the Takeover panel, and am still exchanging emails with Halifax Share dealing services regarding notification of the GM (Listing Change). They are currently stating that AGMs and EGMs do not constitute Corporate Actions and that any such meetings are publicised by the companies themselves....since Flybe stated that they were writing to shareholders about aforementioned meeting, I remain unclear how I was supposed to get such communication if not through my broker as Flybe do not hold my personal contact details.....?

There are so many messages on here, would someone be so kind as to remind me of the contact details of the various bodies I need to liaise with regards a complaint, I have already contacted Halifax Share Dealing services, received first response but I have asked for further clarification as it was a bit of a brush off, interestingly their first response was almost by return, yet they have still not responded to my subsequent email after 3 days.....clearly taking a little more time to consider appropriate reply.

Do you still believe this to be the case???

Have lost here like so many others, sold on Friday. I was nervous about today, did believe there would be bounce on reflection and seeing what happened late in the day so was pretty peeved that I didn't wait which added to my angst. But now sold, I have had some time to reflect, I am mad and angry, mostly with myself, but also with the BOD, we have been 'had' and clearly not all information was out there, certainly some dodgy stuff going on too, but we are mere pawns. So what have I learned.....?

Don't gamble, don't get caught up in the hype, stick to what you really know and understand, don't try and be clever and think you can make a quick buck. Most people on here are genuine, some are not, many know much more than I, some do not. However there are darker forces at play in all such shares and whatever we think we know and understand doesn't really matter.

I am now going to divest from a number of shares in my portfolio and stick with the larger corporations with dividends, of course there can never be guarantees about Board behaviour, but I will undoubtedly be safer in larger companies, returns will be less I know, big spikes and profits will not be likely, but neither will they behave as this one has. Dividends will be paid and I will grow my value back in time.

I never again want to feel like I did this weekend, so may be a lesson well learned, I will recover, I will get back my money somewhere else over time and I wish you all well.

I will also cease my 'addiction' to reading every post on here and get my life back, money in 'safer' hands with steady slower growth and without the constant worry and concern that investing in such businesses creates.

NOT seeking to disrupt the deal, have we not already been told......more than likely he is looking for it to go through, yes he will take a huge loss on Flybe, but more than made up on his share of Stobart, Flybe worth more to him as part of that operation than in Administration or bought by anyone else, I am sure he is very aware of that so lose £500k here and more than make it up somewhere else, pretty sound business decision on his part I am afraid to say.....

Couldn't hold any longer, nursing a loss, but thankfully I will survive. Lesson learned. Actually feels better to be out than waiting to see what happens, at least now I know my loss, can start to rationalise it, learn the lessons going forward and be bloody more careful in future. Investing strategy to be reviewed.....! GLA

Hold or sell? Views, I really don't know anymore.......

I would, and never have, defended Debenhams. very different business, they have no real idea who their customer is and have little or no uniqueness in their offer, Halfords are very much more clear on their market and their customer and do have a solid offer, obviously just my opinion......i will wait for the rise from here.

I disagree too, Halfords have a great fitting service which is competitively priced and to date they have not leveraged it enough, but I know they appreciate this and are working hard to resolve. In this day and age, fewer and fewer people are prepared or able to fit things to their cars and that is something Amazon are unable to do......I believe there is still some where for this share to go from here. Sure they have some of the same retail issues many others do, but they have always been well led in my opinion and will survive the retail trauma.

Having had a small dabble earlier this morning myself when I saw the fall, I am also already in profit, only a few hundred quid, but it all counts! I will stick around and see what happens in the coming days and weeks.

If as is still likely, the dividend remains on track for the year, buyers now and holding until April are in for a return in excess of 5% over 5 months at this price. I know the share price could fall of course and that % could be better, but it may also rise if we suddenly get ourselves out of this quagmire, and anything could happen at any moment as we should all now realise and it could then rise quickly. Many also think the Brexit effect is largely priced in anyhow.

getting very repetitive on here over last few days, time to look elsewhere whilst we wait for the inevitable news. TENG are up nearly 10% today by the way! Numerous Director buys over last couple of days which often bodes well, looks like it may have seen the bottom......DYOR

anyone explain the share trades in DEB today, dozens of buys and sells at exactly the same number over 2m a time, looks odd, is it for real or a website glitch, no one on their forum seems to know / answer........?

Looked him up on google, bought 6% stake in Zanaga Iron Ore (ZIOC) back in July, price spiked towards end of August and now back to much lower levels. Maybe looking to do similar here, no idea if he still holds the shares, maybe someone else can see?

donotpanic - my point being it is far less stressful, there are no guarantees of course anywhere, but 100% return here?, maybe, maybe not, this is a large gamble that not everyone can afford to play although many probably are based on all the hype, people get sucked in sadly, there will be losers. Re VOD, of course the return my not ultimately be the what could be gained here, but it is a well run business, at a low in terms of share price currently and paying a great dividend at present based on price, for many people it may be a far more attractive proposition, and of course we should all be well spread. I for one enjoy my sleep too much to get too heavily invested here, probably why I will never be super rich, Each to their own!

For anyone feeling the stress here and wanting to be a little more secure maybe, worth a look at VOD, nice little rise recently, and a very favourable divi yield, IMO still got legs to keep moving up, a very different feeling there than here I can tell you......!
