....and the SP?

For all those asking, just look at the HL site under Foot - you will see there the day's trading high and low share price, the range is 28.38 (low) and 75 (high), as people have ben saying, surely the SP has to now ease it's way up to the 75p level, if not this week then in relatively short time as this is now the 'new' generally viewed value is it not......? and JD should know!

bought in earlier when I saw the news and rise, SP had already risen so thought that may have missed it a tad but managed to get 40p, however already 30% or £600 up in less than an hour! Will hold for a while to see where this goes I think............or should I take it?

What are people's views, based on RBS SP rise since announcement we should breach 60p this week, maybe more.....? Fully appreciate shares don't react in the same way always but surely this time we should see a positive reaction - thoughts?

I too deal with Halifax Share dealing, they did not inform me of the original vote to change the listing, they say they were not themselves informed (in an email to me). I am still following this up.

In terms of the next vote, I contacted them last week via their chat line, they sent me the proxy forms in the post which I received the next day and I completed it and posted it back in the pre paid envelope they sent. You should be able to sort on Monday if you go on their chat line via the share dealing account.

You are not quite correect, he actually sold 2m shares at £6.35 which would have equated to around £12.5m, in hindsight I am sure he wishes he had held on, but maybe he needed the money for something, however with 17m shares still worth just under £500m, I am sure he can stomach the 'loss'

Fevertree shares rocketed over a very short period and many people made a lot of money, since then they have retraced somewhat but slowly and surely they are climbing back, the real opportunity lies with their entry to the USA. We wait to see how that goes but could be amazing if they can replicate performance elsewhere and the fashion for gin and vodka remains

I need some help please. I have now, after much chasing, received my proxy voting form for the meeting on the 4th March. I got it from Halifax Share Dealing where my shares are held. However there is no indication of the vote regarding Eric Kohn onto the BOD, I had assumed it would take place then, when is that supposed to take place or has that not been announced as yet, apologies if I have missed something, very easy to do when trying to follow all these shenanigans?

Respect your view, but as you say 1 restaurant and all that............they are doing OK post Christmas, believe me, and the film season has not really started yet. I will keep an eye on it, not thinking I can lose too much here, only invested small, if I get a divi before I bail all well and good.

Finally got a very small profit here now, waited longer than I imagined, worth holding or moving on?

Luddite - I wish you luck, I am sure you are right in what you say, sadly too true of many plc businesses in recent years....!

Hopefully this slight 'over reaction' will provide you an opportunity to recover some losses. Obviously as of yet we do not know who will take over, but it is a big business, a big brand name and a very large opportunity for someone, they will not be short of candidates I am sure, and when this is announced we could see a small jump. In the meantime I will watch with interest and my little investment 'gamble' and look forward to the dividends which of course will be invested elsewhere.......

Obviously a shock announcement and no one likes those, but at this price the dividend is worth in excess of 13%, now of course that can change, but see no real reason presently why that should be the case so worth a small punt, I am in with £1500 which will return me £180 in dividend over the next year and I reckon some growth in share too!

Quite right, based on UK population stats that is nearly £300 for every man, woman and child........! And since I didn't have any some lucky bugger got £600.

The UK had an overall trade deficit of -£67 billion with the EU in 2017. A surplus of £28 billion on trade in services was outweighed by a deficit of -£95 billion on trade in goods. The UK had a trade surplus of £41 billion with non-EU countries.

Already press reports saying TCG putting airline business up for sale, what they actually says is:

"As a result, we are today announcing a strategic review of our Group Airline. We are at an early stage in this review process which will consider all options to enhance value to shareholders and intensify our strategic focus. We will provide an update on this process in due course."

Now it maybe that they do sell the airline part of the business in due course, but that is not what it says presently, am i wrong?

Will be interesting to see if my Broker determines it necessary to let me know about this meeting and vote?

Taverham, I have done as you suggested and updated my complaint accordingly, will let you know when I get a response. It seems clear to me that this was all part of a coordinated plan whilst in discussions with others to 'smooth' the way for the ultimate offer and side lining PIs. They failed to inform me and failed to inform my Broker relying on a communication I would be extremely unlikely to see, let alone be able to act upon.
