As for the EPO .......it's certainly not written in stone although you have to think there might be a degree of inevitability about it but I'm not holding my breath on the timeline.

I agree with your analysis of the RNS, after alll, it just says they managed to connect up the transformers to a 33kv Line on the grid. Not mentioning the grid downtime and being vague about production of anything profitable at the mine.
So not a bad RNS but nothing that would make you want to rush out and buy in.
The EPO being granted is the prize and the hype is based on the statement form this bloke.

If this goes out with a whimper then I will feel really cheated that I invested in a great prospect with a great oil man at the helm that just stalled on the grid.

If you were the source of the alternative finance you would want all the stakeholders, to use the euphemism, On the same page and singing the same tune.
Essar have been a loose canon and we have to assume some amicable agreement has now been reached.
The alt finance provider will want this legally battened down and I would think the financing would be done in stage payments based on milestones.

Also should have read the RNS again. Just to clear up.
ZESA have sourced a 33Kv/0.4Kv 1.5MVA.......that's max rated 1.5Megawatts
However as a temporary fix they are going down in two stages from 33Kv to 11Kv and then 11/0.4
33Kv/11Kv rated 1MVA or 1 megawatt and 11Kv/0.4Kv rated 1.6MVA or 1.6 megawatts.
Max available is therefore only 1Megawatt.
My only point is why is it taking so long to connect up these transformers ?

OK fair point about generators but joining up two small transformers ( and they are small in grid terms ) is not difficult.

They bought 2 x 1.5KvA Transformers.....22Kv to 400 three phase. That's a capacity of max 3 megawatts.
Joining that up to the grid is simple.
They could have just bought a 3Mw generator FFS.
If we don't get news that it's working it's just plain incompetence.

Some posts seem to have gone missing. Cannot see any possible reason other than some tech issue with LSE.
What we know for sure is that we are now out of cash and so there must be some kind of update on finance by the end of the month.
The SP has held up.
The clock is ticking down on the PSC and so Essar had better get onside or they'll lose the lot.
They aren't flavour of the month with the Nigerian Authorities either.
If there is another placing I just hope it can happen without a consolidation.
