Arthur has categorically said in one of his podcasts that everything must follow government protocol.
Buhari was elected on an anti corruption platform
Kola and Shoreline are ' the new face of Africa'
In short, Shorecan are sqeaky clean and the brown envelope culture will play no part in this.
This has been dragging on for years now and so when one party final decides to negotiate sensibly it's not beyond the efforts of like minded individuals and government departments to agree the details. The parties must have been discussing this weeks before the RNS and probably explains the delay in confirming the financial prospectus.
One thing I would like to know is what happens to the indigenous participation insofar as Shoreline now have 5% with an option for another 10%......just like COPL. I'm sure there are rules on this, and at a guess, I would say that NNPC will probably take a bigger cut from Essar now but whatever the rules are they'll be followed to the letter.
As for the XOP/COPL price discrepancy, Brady's post describes the situation exactly.
