All good stuff.
The encryption systems are still AES or public/private key and don't involve the blockchain and the use of Secure Hash Algorithms.
It will be a major step forward to get these accepted by the FCA as although the blockchain is widely regarded as a brilliant way of producing a secure and immutable ledger with inbuilt KYC it is also regarded as the new kid on the block.
Moreover, cryptocurrencies are regarded with deep suspicion, mainly because they provide a decentralised form of value exchange and although CBDC's will be here in the near future they will essentially be digital FIAT as the central banks will always hold on to their power.
It's a matter of convincing the FCA we can use the blockchain to enhance the banking process without threatening the ultimate dictatorship of Central Banks and their FIAT control mechanisms and supremacy.
