Hi All. Can anyone explain 'gap filling' to me in simple terms. I've read the stuff on investopedia, but it's still not clear in my head exactly how it works and what impact it has on share price. Any help appreciated.

Hi All, I'll introduce myself. I've been reading this board for a little while since investing in BP and have been both entertained and informed! ??
I'm holding at an average 259 having bought everywhere from 308 on the way down to just sub 2 to topping up again this afternoon at 263. That's it for me for funds invested in this share. Dividend return is good for me, even at cut rates, compared to cash in the bank earning 0.5%, so I'm here for a LTH, and would be more than happy with a return to anywhere above £3 over the next 6-12 months. This is probably the reality of an amateur investor! So, I'll keep reading and hopefully being entertained! Here's to a better Friday....!
