Do we think the removal of steel tariffs between the US and the EU will have any impact on Rio price?
I can only see it being beneficial, but not sure if it’ll make a noticeable impact. Any thoughts anyone?

I'm in the classic position here of a 'short term investment gone wrong becoming a long term hold'!
Mis-timed entry for me, but don't need the cash right now and the long term fundamentals of a consistent cash generating company look positive. Fortunately my other investments have performed well this year. You can't win 'em all......
Time for patience for me now.

Nice little rise again today. Any ideas as to why? Mining shares generally seeing good growth? Tech selling? Move to value?

Yep, still here. First bought at £3.08 on the way down, but bought a chunk just below £2, then also on the way back up. Ended up with a £2.57 average on roughly 35K shares . Sold a couple of tranches at £3.20+ to invest elsewhere, but still sat on 20K shares and waiting for £4 before making any further decisions.

Nice finally to be back in blue! Let's hope it keeps going as it should. GLA and have a good weekend!

Mine are showing as consolidated 100:1 for number of shares, but price still at 0.31p. Easy way to lose a few grand. Hope HL sort it shortly!

Brent has hit $80.12. Today will be interesting to see if the climb continues.

I sold some last week for two reasons, first was that I was sitting on good profit having an average of £2.61 and secondly, BP was too big a part of my portfolio. Now down to a sensible 20% and holding from here for the longer term.
I'm happy with my dividends and profits so far on this one.

MRLOLOL - I've done exactly the same. Trimmed 20% of holding at £3.20 but still got a good few quid in for the longer haul.

and US open seems to have given it a boot up the backside, so maybe they're pre-empting a favourable EIA report?
Will be nice to get back into the £3.20's. By far my biggest holding.....

News on bloomberg this morning was that Evergrande will meet it's interest payments and Chinese Govt is adding another 120bn yuan of liquidity. Seems that they don't want to let it go bust.

I'm looking for re-entry too. Sold 90% of holding at 800p after making a very nice profit. Worked on the basis that once I'd hit my target, time to sell, as I've made the mistake many times of holding on longer and despite good fundamentals, being bitten. Just wish I'd held on this time!!! My 10% stake looks very small now :-(
GLA with this share!

After only keeping a couple of hundred shares for a while, I've started buying in again. Bought a couple of tranches yesterday and another at open this morning. Have a little bit of cash left if it continues to go lower, as ore prices are set to drop below $100, but would expect some improvement over the next 1-2 months. I'm no trader, but this seems an opportunity to buy in.

Trying to make the same decision chittybangbang. On balance, on most stocks with good long term value, I have generally done better for averaging down. Currently at 57.8 so not way out, but would be nice to get this one right.

Also added on open at 0.6. Lets see.... GLA
