JPMorgan cuts Wizz Air price target to 3,900 (4,300) pence - 'overweight'

Around 10% reduction from their target, which is around the same as Wizz prediction of lost revenue due to engine inspections.

I almost lost my breath when I saw your post today. What a turnaround in your view of this share?

You were almost one isolated negative poster on this board and sudenly you can see things in a different light. I applaud you.

As the saying goes. No point having a mind if you never change it!

I was actually puting those points to you in your earlier posts. Where I have mentioned that this financial year is forcast profit cca£400 mil. So we know this company can make some serious cash. We can only hope that there will not be any events that can halt the travell again and this company will do well into the future.

I have been watching, reading and investing (not very succsefully) for about 6 years and what I don’t get is what market wants to hear.

They want divindeds , when company pays dividends shares go down because company pays divident and not invest in the future.

They want growth, company anounce 20% grown in revenue in one year and shares go down because company is investing in the future and not peying dividend.

It is almost laughable how stupid this all is.

All in my opinion abviously.

I was just wandering if anyone of you posting here actually flown with Wizz ?

I do. I am from east european country and fly reguraly. When I moved here 16 years ago there was only ryanair that we could get a reasonably cheap flight and only from main cities. But for last 6-7 maybe 8 years the Wizz is a game changer in eats Europe. And also there is a big economic shift in east europe where wages and lifestyle is quickly catching up with the one widely used to in the west Europe.

I think mr. Varady knows there is oportunity to grow in this region, the biggest set back is continuing war in Ukraine which along with Russia was the big target for growth.

I just read the Q1 resulst from early august. Debt was down around 100m from around 3.9b to 3.8b. But cash has increased also to around 1.8b. And we don’t know how much does it cost to service that debt but we know that profit will increase greatly this year. So Hopefully that should keep bringing that debt down faster and greater.

Last year if you remember was a lot of cancelations due to lack of prepareness from airports and airlines to cope with demands, this lead to huge conpensation payouts which resulted in losses for the period. That has not happened this summer and guidence says there will be around 400 mil in profit for current financial year. If that is repeated and grown over next three to five years this company doesn not need a capital rise from shareholders. It will be sufficient. What I believe is that Our CEO is very driven to grow this company and its value, he is personaly invested not just being put there to draw his salary I thing he is a cofunder if I remember correctly, and that is a big difference.

That is my view of this company and that is why I am invested.

I am down few thousand on this share as well. I take positive view only from the fact that Josef Varady wants to receive £100m bonus if shares reach £120 a share. Although this was extended by another two years I think because clearly its not going the right way atm so more time will be needed to get the sentiment back to airline stock and their growth prospects. So I am giving it another 3-4 years before we will see share price to go past £50
