I also sold all my Lloyds share and some others. Not because I am speculating but I have put deposit on a nee build apartment two years ago and last week received a payment request for the rest of the money.
So the shares had to go. Little bit sad actually to not have a share in here anymore
I like it.
At least BLB seems to be honest about what he is doing. Unlike some others that seem to always buy at the lowest price possible and always sell at the highest price possible And never get it wrong. That I don’t believe.
BLB I salute you
Thank you FlakMagnet for the link to the article. Very interesting reading, won't change much in terms of SP but good to know what mr. Varady is up to. He certainly is very capable and well educated man. I hold him in very high regard. It is very true that circumstances no one could foresee are to blame for the bad fortunes at Wizz. (Ukraine, Israel, P&W) Without these we can only imagine where the SP would be now.
Good luck to All long time holders
Great summary OSG, very well thought out just shows when you watch things closely you get the view as what is actually happening.
Almost all companies that received bids over past 12-18 months their SP have risen to at least what the bid was.
Except THG, where everyone now must realize that the £1.70 bid (if it was that high, because the SP on that day went up to £1.50 ) was actually very good offer and I very much doubt we will see the SP near that amount in next three years.
I don't think so. I think the revenue has risen is encuoraging and hopefully they can address the cost by reducing the number of staff as they started already. The only problem is cost of complaints and impairments. If these can be reduced than we should be looking at quite a healthy profit in next years full results.
just my opinion
I didn't have time to watch to full of that webinar but watched a bit where that guy (forgot his name, sorry) is talking about how big the currys is in comparison to competition, namely to AO world which is online competitor only, and even in that measure is much much smaller than what Currys are doing online. So why is AO valued only 10% less then Curry atm.
I know there was a big loss coming from the nordics region and he explain why that happened and what they doing to mitigate that, but also that Currys is also maintaining it leading market share over there.
So the question is, If the next set of results will prove that the company is again back on track and making profit, perhaps even paying a dividend, can we see the SP going up and to what level?
Any thoughts?
Well, I have read again the reaults published end of march and they said in the second half of the year they turn it prom loss position yo profit of £30 mil. But they also mentioned the release of some money set aside. So hard to know wheather they are making money atm from operations. I guess thats why the SP is so low because untill investors see that the conpany is making money again this isn’t going up anytime soon.
After so many shocks with this share over last four years or so, I am hoping for a bit of a good news. But atm it doesn’t look like there is much confidence in this turn around. Like the rest of you I can only hope that the new management is not hidding anything from us and this is not going nose dive even further.
