I agree about the lack of updates. Those who have done their research are confident that something positive will come out of this.

Wkworld, possibly. I can’t say for certain but it’s the first time they mentioned it via RNS (AFAIK). They may have looked into BRICs before but just not taken that approach until the war started / sanctions were being applied (hence why I thought they may be changing their strategy). Just my opinion. Happy to be corrected if I’ve missed something :)

Ricardo, apologies - I meant they’re now taking the BRICs approach. As far as I’m aware, I don’t think that was their intention originally.

The situation may have changed (BRICs approach) but until we get a negative RNS (I.e no sale), I’m going to put my trust in the bod, assume it’s BAU and hope they get their ‘strategy’ completed at the earliest opportunity.

I’m just trying to be positive at this difficult time.

Del, there is no point moaning daily. At the end of the day, there is a war on. They’re not responsible for the drop in SP and they’re most likely keeping silent for obvious reasons (exposure to sanctions). They know what they’re doing. The RNS is reassuring us that things are continuing as normal in the background.

You’re asking for suspension just because the SP is in the red? Unless there are more sanctions or other announcements likely to affect us, the SP will most likely fluctuate around these levels until progress with peace talks or a potential ceasefire.

This is just a typical Monday. Always start in the red and the bots come out to play. Same sh it, different week.

(Reuters) -Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday that Ukraine had presented Moscow with a draft peace deal containing “unacceptable” elements at variance with a previous agreement, comments that Kyiv dismissed as “pure propaganda”.

The Kremlin has said talks with Ukraine are not progressing as rapidly as it would like, and has accused the West of trying to derail negotiations by raising war crimes allegations against Russian troops in Ukraine, which Moscow denies.
Lavrov said on Thursday that Ukraine had presented a draft agreement on Wednesday that deviated from proposals both sides’ negotiators had agreed on.

Ukraine’s new draft, according to Lavrov, said the status of Crimea, which Moscow annexed from Ukraine in 2014, should be raised at a meeting between the two countries’ presidents.
It also said Ukraine could hold military drills with foreign countries without receiving Russia’s permission, something Moscow disagrees with.

“Such inability to agree once again highlights Kyiv’s true intentions, its position of drawing out and even undermining the talks by moving away from the understandings reached,” Lavrov said, adding that the proposals were “unacceptable”.
Kyiv says it is committed to the talks but is not willing to give up its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Presidential adviser Mykhaylo Podolyak, one of Ukraine’s negotiators, said Lavrov’s comments should be seen as a tactic to undermine Ukraine or divert attention from war crime accusations against Russian troops.

“To make any changes to our position to weaken it would be pointless,” he said in written comments to Reuters.

Navarre75, personally I can’t see anything wrong with anything you’ve said.

Recently we’ve had a lot of new accounts turn up after the war started to try and spread fear and false information (about sanctions affecting us etc), so some of the LTH’s feel like they have to defend their investment (understandable).

Obviously there are genuine new posters who get caught up in this, but sometimes it’s difficult to tell the genuine and fake accounts apart.

I wouldn’t take it out on Tilly and Kammy though, you can’t fault their contributions on this board. They have certainly helped keep things positive during this difficult time.

Nice to see a bit of blue, let’s hope it continues…

Opinions are welcome here - Seasick’s is a perfect example of a valid opinion, which was answered with many supportive comments. However, some come on here to share false information and spread doubt among investors - they are the ones who get shut down.

The website has just randomly refreshed whilst I’m in the middle of writing a post. This has happened 3 times today.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

(Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed holding talks between Russia and Ukraine during a phone call with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, the Kremlin said in a statement on Wednesday.

Orban said earlier that he had spoken with Putin and asked him to announce an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine.
