Think we have seen this site before over the years the range between min and max is to big to be of any use, and has proven wrong in the past

It is to reflect the value of the company less the dividend once, its out of the system the S.P. should start to recovery on announcements of better results and income etc. So the lose is small at the moment the value of shares = share price plus dividend to come. Heres hoping for the recovery to happen fast

Take a look at RYA who do not pay a dividend they seem to languish around the same price whilst EZJ Pay a dividend and investors seem to want to get in just for that. Meanwhile other shares like GKS pay a dividend four times a year a total of 80p per annum. So you can hop in and out at anytime and pick Up the dividend so you get the best of both worlds a rise in the S.P. and a regular dividend. I totally agree with you about the growth factor with EZJ having been there and sold at eighteen pounds and getting back in at eleven pounds and eleven sixty seven. Plus a nice few dividends..

Problem with the dividend is it is only once a year.so the S.P could drop and languish at the lower price for quite awhile before recovering or we could have a good day all round on the markets and make a good recovery, unless you intend to hold long term ( I will do this with my original holdings ) then there is a lot of money to be had elsewhere.

Must be another reason the three did not leave until 11am and easyjet was on the rise from the opening and was one of the leaders at 8am on Bloomberg..

Hope to do just that hope for a middle thirteen pounds ex dividend day so not to full below thirteen pounds and sell the ones bought earlier this year, then on the look out for a few dividend chasers, this time of the year there are loads to choice from .

Bit of a recovery today after big drop yesterday, think Lloyds are pulling the market up !!

At least a rise after ex dividend date, so nothing lost just a nice dividend in the bank ...

19p x3 and final 23p making 80p per share a year..

GSK starting to get back to last years high and the four dividends are a bonus so let's hope there are no hiccups in the near future

Hi Tom, waiting for a few of my holdings to go ex over the next few weeks before selling and reinventing in T.W. for the dividend ex di idend date is the 11th April so last day to buy will be the 10th , and 30th of May for the special dividend, so plenty of time for the buys and if a low buying price lots more to scoop up. Looks like nothings much is changed on this board just the names of the posters anyway all the best take care...

Seems to be like other shares at the moment should expect a good increase up to ex dividend date,but just not happening in fact the opposite seems to be accruing barratt and royal mail did the same not to mention a few others! So with just under two weeks to go let's hope it bucks the trend, seems you have to get in really early after dividend announced now, know good leaving it to the last minute,otherwise you lose on the drop ex dividend day.

Sage, think its EZJ pulling RYA and the sector up with the juicy dividend to come.and know more bad news from RYA.

Could have been profit taking.or Dow futures showing a drop at 10 am affecting markets, they started off with a 8p rise and dropped back after 10am today Dow showing an upward trend, would love them to rise everyday till ex dividend day, but just wont happen, up to last year there was a steady rise to eighteen pounds with a smaller dividend lets hope they get back to that I will be more than happy with the top up I have made on this share, good luck to everyone who has got back in on the lows.

Four year low on RYA today.on a market up by over 140 points. Making the sector follow suit.lets hope for a jump at the close on EZJ uts happened before !!..at least the markets here and in the U.S are having a good start to the year. Just keep going please..

Still loads of buys on easyjet. Pulled down again by o'Leary and his not too good airline RYA.would have been on a steady increase on the S.P up to the ex dividend date.. let's hope its soon forgotten and the upward trend continues

Any chance of naming a few that pay nearly 10 % in case I have missed any thanks ..

Been a holder for a few years now,topped up with a few at 10.97p and today at 1152p just hoping they rise by 58p before ex dividend day, any then I will sell the new ones and reinvest in an other share.keeping hold of my original holdings, and getting the good dividend..
