Strategic plan to move the business forward looks very weak. A deluded board to think the brand as any appeal / value in the fashion industry.
Only hope is a change at CEO level and quickly or bye bye FC.
Christos Andelides credited with the excellent growth at Reiss in the last few years, shows how damaging Stephen Marks is to the brand.
GL holders you are going to need it.
RougeRiver, you seem correct on the share price holding. This is encouraging and I hope we see some momentum in the first quarter of this year. Clipper is a good business but I would expect profits to be raising much higher than they have in the last 12 months. Good contract wins but some of these have been off set with some key contact losses. Hopefully they can maintain a better rate of contract retention alongside new ones gained. Good luck, think I'd sell out at £3:50
7 million sells close of trade?
Hope this is not a new short attack on this share with no bid coming in today, previous levels before bid interest were near the £2 mark. Tomorrow's trading will be very telling.
I was hoping the tie up with Pretty Little things would have lifted this share price alone over peak on the back of the trading at Boohoo group.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the 18m buys versus the 2m sells today? Normally this kind of volume would send the SP rocketing?
Could the reason it hasn't be down to large short positions been opened? Hopefully an RNS will be issued tomorrow with an explanation. Be great if its an established fund buying.
Interesting day tomorrow with an update on trade and interest in the business.
Anyone with any views of what to expect?
Very little trading volumes in recent months, normally greater activity in this share on forthcoming updates, this makes me a little nervous that people close to the brand haven't been purchasing shares.
Ref Sale there are a lot of retail brands up for sale now, does this make FC a less attractive offer / value for money than other brands?
Asos profits decline further and 100 head office roles under review in key department s such as marketing. Boohoo’s share price has always been affected by movement in ASOS SP.
Could be a rough ride from here for a while ? Was hoping the boohoo SP would move forward, now feel that we could see £1.80 to £1.90 Next week.
Interesting week either way and my prompt an RNS
Best wishes all
Hi Tedmak.
Menswear is starting to feel safe, lots of basic lines in their collection, The more directional styles that give the brand a point of difference are lacking.
Ladieswear strong signature pieces as always that have been instrumental in Teds success story and a key element in the building of their loyal customer base. Is this evolving enough or too obvious for the premium end of the fashion market now?
Ted have a lot of success in the occasion wear trends but i have noticed a change here in customer habits were previously it was desirable to wear a Ted dress at an event, now its about wearing something that is more individual or less obvious than a Ted signature piece and i think is causing a slowdown in sales.
Reiss have done exceptionally well and will be taking market share from Ted, their collections are less obvious, catered more for the individual in their style, rather than a signature and obvious print that Ted standby.
Too early to see if the loss of Ray Kelvin as had an impact but a creative change is needed IMHO.
Still a good business and good enough to see the share price hit £17 again but i think it would be end of year / strong xmas trade that is required to delivery this.
Ted SP was expected to fall to these levels.
The brand operates in a market were brand desirability is often forecasted into the future price of fashion retailers. Ted is losing its appeal amongst the premium spenders as its Menswear is no longer deemed fashionable and the womenswear offer is too obvious.
Ted have an habit of always announcing good results by focusing on turnover growth, which in reality as often come from trading off increased spaced, hiding true LFL performance. Sales in Ted this season are in decline and how they place a positive update on this will be a challenge for the board.
Still a great business on the balance sheet compared to most but the rate of decline is behind this SP drop. I'd say £12.50 is fair value on Ted.
Hi Ramputsnik.
Some late end of day buys look to have counteracted those large sells which affected the price today, hopefully the SP will bounce on Monday with these late buys factored in.
My understanding is FC are trading better than some fashion retailers this season as they have lower comparatives against them.
Interested to see the forthcoming update on the sale process, any improved business performance may cause Marks to hold out for a better price than sell, which could be holding the SP back.
Rumours Flagship store to close end of this month.
A positive move aiding bottom line improvements
Thanks Irene.
It's hard to gauge the Leisure industry at present with the appeal of independants seemingly doing well in most city centres.
Seems like its mixed views and trading for now lol.
Share price seems fair, i'm hoping the lack of major sporting events this summer will aid RBG's recovery.
A little mythed by the share price.
Recent contract wins for:
Pretty Little things (Fastest growing online fashion brand in Europe)
Shop Direct (Highly successful, established online retailer)
Sports Direct (Most active acquisition brand on the high st)
I would have thought the share price would be at £3.20 - £3.35 at present.
Surely another 2 significant contract wins should see a return to the £4 per share.
Anyone with an alternative view?
This share looks to have bottomed out at 68p - 70p
Does anyone have any views on trade?
Visiting 2 bars over the Easter period the Rum themed bar was very busy, however the Vodka bar was very quiet. I personally would like to see some of the Vodka bars renovated to Rum bars and further conversion of some of the Vodka bars into newly introduced Gin themed venues.
Vodka sales have been in decline as a trend for the last 3 years, RBG seem to have been very slow to react.
Major loss making retail sites to close.
Increased trading space in HOF.
If FC produce the same performance as last year which was poor and you take the above into consideration the brand should produce a profit of £1m to 1.5m this year, increasing company value whilst becoming a more attractive acquisition.
Expecting a significant update on the approach to Aug / sept
Strategic advances being made @ FCCN.
A good time to now buy this stock. IMHO.
Results day tomorrow, last minute punts I would imagine.
2 weeks away from results.
Anyone with a view on the last update that the brand would turn a profit on this next update?
Hi Chatnovice
Ted have discounted heavily during the 5 week update due tomorrow, I believe there will be no shocks regards the sales numbers, just a question of growth achieved against drop in margin.
Confident of my knowledge that this share will be ok come tomorrow morning.
Hopefully back towards £18.50 quickly
Nice overview of your knowledge and reasons to be invested DB.
Good contract win today and hopefully more to come.
Thanks for sharing
I have recently invested in Clipper for the first time.
Surprised by the low chat frequency on this board and the low trading volumes that occur?
Two major factors that I think will deliver success for Clipper in the next 12-24 months:
1) Contract with Pretty little things, the fastest growing Brand in the UK.
2) Recent director buys at £250,000 each. Whilst not registered under the director buys, I have read that 2 of the directors have invested the above amount into the shares at £3 per share via a fund.
I wouldn't worry about the recent SP drop has I believe this is the impact of the general market falls and rising costs of petrol.
