....the £100 is for the initial advice and from 200 members means business. If our legal advice is YES, then we can look at alternative funding options including the obvious No win, No fee.......My personal choice would have to be the Cattles team, but there seem to be some serious lawyers even with a quick google.....Lots to play for...we now have to wait for the Administrators appointment and see the reaction from SiSG. They must be very confident of their legal case when they could have probably bought the entire company for about £50 million. Maybe their action, neatly side-steps the bond holders...all will be revealed in due course.

...about how much we pay at this point......sends completely the wrong message to people working behind the scenes. If you don;t think we have a case , don't contribute. In the meantime, £100 per person will put together a good start for a legal challenge....

...an initial £100 should be the set amount. We may spend three grand on a barrister who says ' you are wasting your time' and then we simply refund everyone the balance. If the barrister says 'great case, high chance of success' but your legal bill is going to be c. £100K, then we can pay the additional costs on a pro-rata basis.

...we have to go down the Cattles / Creditor route or we are out of the game. For this we need legal advice and strategy. To say that 'class action' is pointless, is giving up and I would rather hear that from a barrister. I don't see a problem getting an initial £100 from 180-200 shareholders, most have lost thousands and tens of thousands, so not to 'wager' another £100 would be crazy. At least then we can all say 'we did our best'.

....all good informative stuff. Fairly clear path for us now - appointment of Administrators, our legal advisers lodge a claim for our Shareholder Group as a creditor and we see what the Administrators find / conclude. In parallel with this we launch a claim against the BOD.....

.....supposed to be one excuse, but we had nearly $100 million in the HK project a/c being used for day to day running. They can't really use that one !!

....I think it is a good idea to put the fighting fund together even if we have to sit it out couple of weeks while the Administrators are appointed. £100 from 200 members is a great start and means we have the finances in place to commence......... Just look out for any late joiners named Frank who wish to volunteer as Treasurer !! Be interested to see if Danny Fortson picks up on the story in the Sunday Times tomorrow - if nothing, I will print and snail-mail my communication.....may just have.gone to spam...

..'m personally quite pleased this is going into admin (providing it actually does Mr Timis !! ), it will at least allow an independent body to look the business, weigh up the debts (veracity of some of the invoices Mr Timis !!) and try and find a buyer. From our perspective we do have one ace....it was all done five months ago with London Mining and we are all a lot more streetwise about the dodgy dealings.......most important....once appointed, we contact them as a 'substantial shareholder group' and tell the Administrators we are watching in minute detail and we are not expecting a quick prepack deal unlesss to Glencore or Vale for a lot of money.....!! All is lost fellow AMI'sters...

well done. I guess we will get a fuller update /RNS over the next few days, giving us a bit more steer on the winding up of AMI, which is their (FT / SISG) intention. I am baffled by the lack of response from the bondholders, unless they have been taken 'care of' too. Update from the Court could prove interesting. Bad news - IO now sub $60.......

...will work on the assumption there will be a bit of a stink for a few weeks and then it will all be forgotten. Not an issue as we will be in for the long haul and I think it is imperative that we gather all the facts and see the final outcome before we start the legal challenge. I don't want to find we are wrong-footed from the outset. I have emailed Danny Fortson and he is danny.fortson@sunday-times.co.uk More nasties to appear over the next few days, but we are getting used to that......

@ the Sunday Times. He featured African Minerals about a year ago as being a hot tip and he likes his investigative journalism......ENRC in the Congo, Benny Steinmetz in Guinea. I will write to him personally tonight and I will be surprised if he is not interested in the 'shenanigans' of Mr Timis and dodgy dealings which seem to have come to light. This is not tin-pot Beacon Hill, but once the biggest company on AIM. Bet the favoured epithet of convicted former heroin dealer appears !!

...the problem is that SISG are in the driving seat now and they can pay whoever they like, whenever they like..This recent charade has played into their hands, but over the longer term we may get some sort recompense through the legal system,but it may take three years. This whole fiasco has had a devastating effect on many of us....I sometimes hope I am going to wake up from this nightmare. Its not over because as soon as we get all the facts we can start the long legal journey...........and I think we may just win !!

....so, if you are so clever and you had already worked out that by purchasing the PEx debt, SISG were able to seize all the assets, then why had no-one else thought of that. Why did the bondholders not adopt this strategy. So who is going to pay them and the assorted creditors......SISG...??? $750 million ???..are they going to settle Renaissance too ??? I'm sure you can enlighten us.

......that FT and SISG engineered this whole episode. What a great way to stuff Renaissance and the bondholders.Alan Watling has been the 'stool pigeon' all along. Okay FT loses AMI but keeps his rail access and SISG gets Tonkolili and ARPS......Stranger things happen and we may never know......

.....has Frank Timis allowed himself to be so out-manoeuvred by SISG, I thought he had put $250,000 into the AMI pot for legal issues. What about Marampa......how are the GOSL going to cope with all the staff there unemployed as they no longer have a logistics operation.......lots of questions yet and FT strikes me as a streetwise geezer, who is n going to take this lying down..........

...this is all over. For sure SISG have taken control of the companies, but what are they going to do about the bond holders, the trade creditors.......knock them all ????. if they have got such a massive result, why not give the shareholders 5p and rid yourself of the legal menace of a challenge in the Courts. Not convinced at all....

...I was in this @ 5p, just received the rail allocation - we looked like a winner.......a lifetime ago now..

....I've gotta laugh....AMI - suspended, Bellzone - suspended, Oxus in arbitration, BHR - now suspended....what a portfolio...is this only a nightmare and I will wake up one day....aahhhhh !!!
