What’s more, the dividend is expected to almost triple from 3p this year to 6p next year and then 8p the year after.

In the IPO SCH wrote "It is the current intention of the Board to adopt a pay out ratio of up to half of the EBITDA of the Company in the form of a dividend. The Board intends to declare a final dividend for the financial year ended 31 December 2014 and thereafter to declare both an interim and final dividend (as appropriate)"

So that presumably means profit materially ahead of the £23million mentioned in Times article flagged up by Colbats on 23rd April. There have been two trading updates indicating better than expected revenues since SCH floated on AIM at the start of April.

A careful read through the half year to Dec 1013 results pdf at http://corporate.gemfields.co.uk/index.php?option=com_reports&view=reports&Itemid=244 should give you quite a good idea of their plans for expansion. There are several references to sapphires. They are also aiming to turn the ruby mine into the largest producer in the world. They are already at that stage with the emerald mine. The other two pdfs on that link are also well worth scrutiny.

Excellent ruby auction result at $33.5 million - only a quarter of the total inventory from the ruby mine was offered at the auction and yet the revenue from the auction was about equal to the total spend on the mine to date including the acquisition cost. The gems on offer were all grades and yet the auction revenue was not far short of the Gemfields auction record in February 2014 - $36.5 million for predominantly higher quality emerald and beryl. So many positives in todays RNS. Next ruby auction expected within 6 months.

Wondered why TSTL was up this am - for the reason, see 702k buy at 75.8p at 16:30 on Friday. From June 10th RNS - 'The pace of growth is higher than previously anticipated and with margins also improving and costs stable, the impact on the bottom line is both significant and immediate.'

Today's RNS mentions share buy-back. Share buy-back could move the sp quite quickly as VGAS looks to be relatively illiquid? So of course could an offer for the company...

Looks good to me - have dipped a toe in for first time this am. It looks as if two large trades, of about 200k and 250k, at the end of last Friday moved the sp up from around 128p to 140p.
