So far as I can see from the various RNS, only one holder - Midasi - has been in breach of the OMP rules and that only to the tune of 175k shares which Midasi has now bought back. Have I missed another breach?

Have just noticed that the yield given in the JQW share price window is 2.27 - that is on a divi of 0.5p. Over the past 12 months the total divi paid out has been 5.7p ( 5p of which was a special divi). Cash is growing quickly enough to support divis of that size over the coming 12 months. Yield over the past 12 months has been 25.9 - on a sp of 22p.

Just been looking at the cash holding in the 19th Dec RNS – RMB 390 million RMB at the end of this November. At the end of June this year the cash holding was RMB 425 million. The special dividend (5p per share) and the interim dividend (0.2p) per share which were paid around 23rd October this year cost JQW about RMB 101 million. RMB 425 million take off RMB 101million leaves RMB 324 million – and this has by the end of last month has already moved back up to RMB 390 million. At this rate, if no dividends were paid between now and the end of next June, the cash holding would move up to RMB 482 million so plenty there for another 5p plus special dividend.

G-W - yes I agree - One Capital group held 2.97% before the AIM flotation so we have no idea what they had to pay for them.

I can buy at least 80000 at 15.25p and sell up to 5000 at 15.25p - anything more and it is down to 14p. No sells reported today - just 2 small buys at 15.25p.

Low volume but all buys today - have been getting dummy quotes - could buy 20k at 15.25p at 3.50 pm No sells reported and bid/ask has not shifted all day.

I am in it for the excellent dividend and so am in long term. At least it will be an excellent dividend at the current sp if the special divi of 5p is to be repeated and I do not see why that should not happen given the profits being generated. Since the sp was 50p it has gone down on low volume. It can easily go back up on low volume too. If the company was keen at this stage to get it back to 50p it could do so by share buy back at relatively low cost imo. Current sp is immaterial to long term holders. For those who bought high it is an excellent opportunity to average down but they are unlikely to do so until it is clear that the strategic or unavoidable selling has stopped.

Gentle buying here today and no sells. Buys will build up as ruby auction results approach.

Market Outlook Candlesticks does not factor in the maiden high quality ruby auction which starts on 3rd December in Singapore and is to include that 40 carat beauty.

RNS - auction results "The auction realised an overall average value of USD 65.89 per carat, a new record for auctions of predominately higher quality material mined at Kagem." So much for those who though the steam had run out of the top end market! Bodes very well for next month's ruby auction.

Excellent piece in today's telegraph stressing the rise of Faberge - includes, naturally, a photo of Milas Julis sporting the gems. Good to know too from yesterday's RNS why the emerald auction had been postponed - I should have realised that it was for that decidedly appropriate reason. Pleased to hear also that the next ruby auction is on track for next month.
