Yes it's Irish tax law to deduct 25% I had checked with kenmare and Lloyds it's cost me £6000 in tax
If the company did a 10% buy back instead of dividend of each shareholder we wouldn't have to pay this tax it would come under capital gains which would make myself tax free so I think a 9 million buy back would have gave shareholders a better deal on there tax return
Has anyone received there Dividend payment yet?
Contango totally have to agree they are the facts presented by the company how I read it
Also the product price as been steady so far this year matching last year's average and with the extra shipping compared to last year first half I can see first half year profits coming at around 100 million we'll above analysis predictions and well above last year half year profits of 67 million
I have an email from kenmare this morning
I presume report is on kenmare resources website
1qtr 2023 production and a d shipping now available on kenmare resources site
No surprises
Production down 1% on 1stqtr 2022 but lower grades taking a knock on finish products grades are expected to improve for the rest of the year
But shipping/sales increased 17%on 1qtr 2022
And sales remains strong with the price holding steady
The first 3months of the year is normally the slowest related to the seasonal storms slowest this damage caused by lightning but the weather is now improving
Where are we ?
Well this month on 13 April is ex dividend date
Between 13 to 20 should expect 1st quarter production and shipping report
Then on the 26 April market capital day then we should have a greater knowledge of where we are

Yesterday video of zoom meeting of results with a interesting question and answer at the end from shareholders
I think things look very positive for the future on profit return for the future
2022 dividend up 66%
2022 profit over 200 million USD
Giving a10% yield
Yes I had noticed they picking up the shares MG investment are selling off
It seems MG been trying to sell for a while the shares they brought for£2.32 and now been selling at double what they're paid so taking profit
And also thought they were over invested but I wonder what there plans are on what percentage of the company they want to keep as we all know it all looks promising
Next week's results looking promising we already been given data that shows the profit is over 160million USD which means a minimum of around 26pence dividend but of course hopefully we will get a bit more
FTSE 100 is down 8.5% in the last month and Kenmare is also down 8.5% in the last month
So I believe kenmare share price as following the general market and nothing to do with the seasonal storms
I was hoping we was going to get away whit the normal bad weather season November to April
But today announced a lightning strike hitting nearby electric cables resulting to damage to equipment at the mine and now already stating production target for the year will be near the low end of target but shipping was not effected
We will know more on Wednesday when we get the shipping/trading figure's come out but I'm also expecting 30pence final dividend could be more if the company increases the percentage of the profit to the shareholders to 30% of the profits
But dept needs to be paid off first
Also included is 2023 Guidance in report
Last final production report out on 18jan 2023 which is a bit later than usual. source kenmare resources financial calendar
Happy new year saga
I suppose I can't assume 25 % although company policy is 20% minimum of profit paid to dividend and pay off a large amount of the dept and put money aside for future projects example mine move and then there always a possibility of buy backs also part of the company policy so could be as low as 20% and been said before has high 60%as the chairman quoted 60% returns in the future a few years ago but personally I believe we have to wait until after the next mine move 2025
My 25% is based on last years payment I would like to believe the board would not pay less than that but we can't assume anything maybe in my case wishful thinking but try to keep my feet on the ground and not get to hype up on emotions
We had a year of slime.storms .power cuts.and a loading ship in maintenance for nearly 3months.
But analysis still predicting 184 million usd profit which would be record breaking which would give us a 40pence a share which 10pence was already paid in October but it will all depending on the shipping figure's out in 2weeks time as product prices I expect should come in just over 460 per ton compared with 430per a ton in the first 6 months of the year with production costs of around 200per a ton Giving the company a extra 10% profit per a ton
The analyst normally are higher than the actual but this year it all depends on the shipping of the last 3months
Remember last year was a record shipping/sales and this year will be less but even if it falls short it will be added to next year profit
Not to forget we came into the year with over 80 million dept this should be wipe out now so starting to save cash for the next mine move
Believe 2023 to be a positive year for the company
Wishing you all a great and profitable new year
So con did you manage to buy 50000 shares today or are you wanting for the sp price to increase first
Sp bounce back quickly market not seeing things so
negatively
Bad news Lower production target.due to power outages ?
What about our new generator I thought this was going to stop this
Cost per a ton increase due mainly to oil prices...
Good news won't affect shipping and selling price remaining high in 4qtr
So mix bag of news not all bad should not effect this year's bottom line has we have plenty of stock to ship
Power outages are excited in 3rd world countries and should been put into forcasts
Meant to read lower the dept to 30 million
