Noticed on scrap monster they quoted Mozambique. ilmenite prices at 341usd in September and only 300usd in October that's a 13% drop

Not looking positive for the dividend in April

But long-term forcast is promising

Yes you are right because they don't update their site regularly

Members of this site a few years email LSE about this same thing and they said they didn't get a reply

I do believe kenmare is a good buy but that's my opinion

Do the maths the 2 dividend payments in 2025 add up to around 20 pence a share

meaning yield is closer to 7% rather than 14%

Licence renewal???

This is Africa December 2024 probably means it be done July 2026 maybe

But the old licence stays in force until a new one is brought in

Me too been here since 2015 and loved a lot of your informative posts so I was sad when you sold up and left

According to your post you came back in 22 September 2022 which is less than 3 years so I now your average sp price on your present holding nearing 400 same as myself

But 2020 my average share price was 260 and sold half of them at 500 so if even if the company went bust tomorrow I would still be in profit if we dividends on trading gains so I'm sure you made some good gains yourself from the past and hopefully in the future on kenmare shares

World price for tio2 moz grade effects profit

Profit is the difference the cost of mining per a ton and the price sold per a ton each year it's normal agreed wages and costs go up but this can be offset by increasing production

Here are the historical prices for moz tio2 prices are for July of each year

2025. 332usd per a ton

2024. 400usd per a ton

2023. 454usd per a ton

2022. 462usd per a ton

2021 337usd per a ton

So the price now is the same back in 2021

When prices are low this stops new mines devoping and old mines close or otherwise run at a loss causing the price to catapult as it did in 2022 kenmare is in a strong position to make profit in the lows and boom in the highs

So everything does add up if you understand the market in a different way

Rns 16july under dividend and finance stated they expected to be between 8c and 12c so 10usc was right in the middle

Kenmare normally pay about 40% of profits in to dividend

But costs of production have increased whilst sale prices have gone down forecast to be near the end of the circle

With the dregers we expect to increase production which in turn we lower cost per ton produced when we move into the new mining area but grades being a little bit lower

But would expect prices rise and expect a increase above 40 percent payback to share holders through dividend or buybacks

Has I understand we had a deal for 20 years + 20 years at the same deal

now we trying to negotiate another 20 years and we have to compromised part of this already agreed deal to negotiate for the following 20 years

So we already agreed for the next 19 years and 4 months that's why it was safe to invest the capex

Has I said before better for me if they don't do dividend next time but do a 3 million shares buy back whilst the share price so low instead of paying a 3 or 4% div for the first half of the year

I would see 3% of my shares whilst still owning the same % saving me from DWT no capital gains tax not at these price

Ok final year pay has divided to keep company policy to keep divided between 20% to 40% of the company profit

This policy will would save me 25%tax and should cause SP growth
