Yes, the buy/sell is worked out from the spread but isn't always correct, so sells show as buys on occasion and vice versa.

All I know from the show of shares at the start of the day, during the day and at the end of the day, is that we are approx 100,000 shares off 180p, another 100,000 off 190p and another 100,000 off 195p. Not a lot in the scheme of things given the number of holders on this chat board.

After that there is nothing to stop this rising and rising except sells.

We will always have RNS chasers and day traders, so you have to accept that in my opinion but there appears to be a massive opportunity even ahead of any news.

Only my opinion but I have only followed my opinion since March and it wasn't based on covid or posts from anyone else.

A closed period relates to announcing results, so we are given that the webinar is about results I would have thought?

I don't believe that stops stock market announcements but does stop Director dealings.

On a different but related topic, most of the recent covid posts have been about the UK.

It is relevant to remember that this is a global issue and that the Total Available Market is somewhat larger than the UK.

I do not doubt that TAM will figure as part of the sell side analyst briefing that precedes our webinar.

For anyone interested, the last two to three weeks appear to have brought about new base points.

These look to have moved from less than 160p to 160p to 165p to 170p and there seems little to stop 175p.

Daily buys seem to outweigh sells but because we have the daily no RNS sellers each day we allow the MMs to collect other cheap shares on the back of that.

Glimpsing beyond the day traders, the trend does look positive and that is without news.

Given the breadth of news now due and with the phrase "antigen lateral flow tests" now being talked about by politicians of all people, the likelihood that Avacta have no involvement seems somewhat unlikely.

Whatever approach you take, good luck. Buy and hold seems the only logical way, so I will be staying with that. I am also expecting news flow ahead of the webinar.

I briefly mentioned before that I thought the sell side analyst briefing on the 28th, just before our own webinar, was of importance, so have been reading up on this.

It is primarily about potential future earnings and if you look at the notes in the RNS it says that antibodies currently dominate the $100 billion market but that affimer technology addresses many of the negative antibody performance issues.

I am not just reading covid into this, even though we have recently heard a number of scientists querying the antibody approach to testing, as I am aware that our affimer technology is so much broader than covid but does include it of course.

All of this is why the header is Confidence.
