As the 5% traders finish off for their Christmas shopping money, The Yorkshire Post will doubtless kick the story off followed by Look North, the Yorkshire news programme, followed by serious investors. Doubtless the institutions that bought in at the placing will also be aware of the progress already made.

Perhaps this time round the wider press may actually spot the incredible opportunity for a better solution to what is a terrible disease that has affected many of us in some way over the years.

We were told it would be a transformational Q4 and this is.

We no doubt all have a take:

1. Cancer is the greatest financial goal
2. Covid offers a nearer term financial goal
3. Astra type agreements are additional
4. We have a number of covid opportunities
5. We know the tests work very well
6. We are validating

The MMs are paying just below sp for sells if you can't wait and buyers are obviously about.

Given that schools are now to be closed in January, I am very confident that we are more than in the mix here.

A 10k buy appears to have gone through.

Given the variant and awaited confirmation that vaccines can handle it, I would have thought that this was a key phrase from the RNS.

It also appears that the LFT(s) are in validation along with BAMS.

Don't see why this RNS would have included AVA6000 or why that can't still be this year.

We each read into an RNS what we read.

Now there's a couple of interesting statements Okehurst.

Basically they don't know is what I am reading and my understanding, or lack of it, is that the vaccine doesn't stop you getting covid but does lessen the effects of it.

I am struggling to believe that our politicians and tv scientists have any idea what they are doing and certainly struggle with the words they use.

Now that London and the South East is in tier four it is, we are told, because of the variant. It obviously isn't because it was in tier two when other areas with lower rates, Chesterfield for example, were placed in tier three.

This isn't even the first variant. Our more learned posters such as Chiron, Monkswood and Oakhurst raised the topic of a variant some months ago I recall.

It is difficult to forget that Pfizer "accidentally" discovered that two vaccine doses were better than one. That is not a knock against the vaccine but it is difficult to believe that the recipient forgot they had already been given it once or that dosage levels weren't a formal part of the process.

Anyway, personal rant over and I think we have learned a lot this weekend.

1. The appearance of those clearly after a lower entry point.
2. The appearance of those knocking regular posters to try and disrupt the board (all reported).
3. This pandemic is not going away.
4. There are no reliable tests out as yet.
5. Previous news has said that affimers can detect variants.
6. The need for therapies has increased.

I think we will have to be told something by Avacta in these next two weeks against all of the items that were mentioned in the update RNS.

The situation around the world, let alone the UK, puts us in a great position to bring about a resolution to all of this and we do need a resolution to it. Avacta can play a massive part in this in my opinion.

Looking forward to some knocks providing they are factual.

Looks like London and the South East are going into lockdown as the variant is blamed for a rapid increase in cases.

Given the situation with the Innova test, the Avacta timing is looking OK to me.

The map of the world is very relevant when the topic is Avacta's LFTs.

Firstly, the UK represents less than 1% of the world's population.

Secondly, in ensuring that the tests are best in class, any hurdles to jump in other countries will be easier to overcome.

I think we would all be very happy if the UK government bought the Avacta test but can't see this as being the key opportunity.

I have Affyxell and Daewoong as odds on favourites rather than a dark horse.

There is a more than tenuous link between the David Bella (Glasgow) RNS and the Daewoong therapy RNS that were issued.
