RE: Shell, BP. Maybe a Joint Venture?15 Feb 2019 16:39
With respect to any potential interest to takeover, the JSE listing and the SA investors are likely to want to be significant holders in this business. Fortune makes continuous reference to the South African focus as a business and that will be very important to him and the local management as well as the workforce. They want this to be seen as as a flagship South African success story which they can be proud of.
However interested any other party maybe in the assists as they are built up, I hope they really can succeed using all there own resource for many years to come. Not only as an existing investor but for the complete project. Both FM and MN will be very keen to see the projects through to completion. They have youth and energy to drive both projects and even Lemur through to completion to maximise the value of the business for share holders. It should not be lost in the fact that they will both personally have huge financial reward through there own share holding by doing just this.
For all of us this is the best conclusion. Being part of a super conglomerate like BP, Shell, Siemens, Samsung, Sumitomo or any other huge power or chemical business will norms bring local support or motivation. As share holders it would not be good long term for us either. Unless you wanted to cash in and run. But the passion and support by the vast majority of holders here tells me that this is not desirable.
This story has far to go and the true value is 4 to 5 years away. But when we reach it, we can be sure it will be exceeding £10 per share.
Not sure how you all feel about these thoughts?
Cheers RK
