The unfortunate rising coronavirus infection rates both in the UK and globally is going to force governments to re-focus on the pandemic and fast-track their strategies to combat and mitigate against it. Will covid death rates remain very low as we move deeper in Autumn ? I doubt it :(
And has been discussed on this bb on many occasions, the hideous impact of Covid 19 (simply from a health point of view, never mind economic) , isn't limited to the number of deaths it causes, it's also defined by the life-changing damage it can cause to the physical and mental health of some who've caught it and survived.
Synairgen's therapuetic drug could be a key part of the UK's strategy imho and I just hope that it's well and truly on the government's radar after today's RNS and they do all they can to support its [hopeful] success.
I hope I'm wrong, but it would appear that the summer window of relative respite from this disease is beginning to close and complacency by some, needs to be replaced by vigilance once again.
The closing SP today is a disappointment to say the least, but it's likely to be but a tiny blip in the overall story here, if and when a deal(s) hopefully lands.
Fingers crossed for more good news in a timely manner. gla invested :D
