hi covgaz you make a valid point imho - our company has seen fit to keep us all in the dark for many, many weeks now and we haven't a bl**dy scooby doo what IS or ISN'T going on.. If it's due to ongoing negotiations re bids or joint ventures then all will be fine in my book, but if not then ....total contempt for pi's - and salt rubbed into the wounds after the cap in hand begging for AGM votes.

As Qualibashi said earlier - as a LTH i never thought i would see the way this company appears to be being run now.

There are reputations on the line as far as I'm concerned, and i shall record the names of our current board of directors and never touch a share in the future with them on the board - UNLESS it all turns out that they were indeed acting in all shareholder's interests !!

Ps, i must add that my mushrooms have grown to a huge size _ and are delicious on toast :D

red i'm hoping the bottom may be today but if not, within the next 2 days with an intraday treeshake to fill the gap from October, then we can hopefully begin to climb again. But of course whatever's going on behind the scenes may burst out at any point - and as DBW said earlier - the share may be suspended from trading in the case of a bid. In that case, those selling now and hoping to get back in later/lower may be caught with their pants down ;D

yeah, we need a RNS saying SOLG are in discussions wth xxx over a bid or JV, or a news leak / rumour of such - and then we will see the SP go north :D

I wasn't in MARL when its buyout took place but wasn't the SP taken down just ahead of the buyout ? Similar pattern here with SOLG ??

Punit in my view the only danger to SOLG is the politics in Ecuador - if the government there were to pull the rug then it would be game over. But that isn't going to happen because money is king and SOLG's enormous Copper, Gold & Silver assets are going to provide a very lucrative revenue stream to the Ecuadorian goverment for 50+ years. It's those same assets which should ensure that us private investors eventually see a much higher SP than today - or a buyout quite a bit above your 42p level. In the meantime it's very frustrating but the only way to deal with it, is to hold your nerve or sell. As i previously said - the bar stewards are NOT getting my shares at the current low SP levels ! hi Punit there is most definitely hope, hold your nerve and don't let whoever is behind the smoke and mirrors here, take your shares away from you on the cheap. This farcical news blackout surely cannot go on for much longer - something is going to have to give !

Things feel 'off' here to me - the lack of news or support to the SP is inexplicable on the face of it. I really do wonder if we are going to get a bid very soon (before another news update) at 50 to 60p with the bidder hoping to close the deal around the 70 to 80p level. Would other bidders step in. Who knows ?? But i'm sick and tired of the apparent games going on - as i'm sure others are. The bar stewards aint getting my shares at these current levels, anf if the SP falls further i will buy more !!

hi DBW i can totally see the argument as to why on earth would a multi-millionnaire post on a bb
- maybe as a hoby, for a laugh, or maybe just for the fun of it? Imo you're spot-on that those who are really rich rarely flaunt it; it's the pretenders and aspirers who do that - but I don't blame anyone for wanting to be wealthier, from whatever their starting level.

KB007 was obviously anonymous so might be genuine?

All that said, imho the rich and super rich are rarely satisfied with their station and always want more and more. After all, the Jones's are always richer than them lol - or so they feel :)

hi Quady and DBW i'm pretty sure i remember him / her saying he had in excess of a 1% holding and definitely remember thinking at the time that it equated to several £million. Whatever, but i cannot find him / her on a search, as still being a LSE member - which would explain why i've not seen them posting recently. A shame if so ....

zoros i might well be misquoting KB007 totally accurately and probably shouldn't have mentioned my recollections of what he/she said about their holding but i seem to remember thinking at the time, that their holding was worth many millions of pounds

E.T. yes indeed ! :D although tbh there are a lot of sizeable holders posting on this bb if they are truthful about their holdings - e.g : i think i'm right in saying that KB007 had about 1.5% of the shares in issue about 3 or 4 months ago, not sure if that's still the case KB ??

lol E.T. you mean the 3% threshold ? No I'm obviously just havin' a larf, but fingers crossed someone throws in an opening bid very soon - quite possibly before the PFS is released - because from a contrarian point of view, a lower opening bid might force SOLG to publish the PFS as a defence against the lower bid, to demonstrate asset value demands a much higher bid ? I'm probably putting the cart before the horse but I just wondered ...... ??

Novice it might be that the market has gotten wind that I'm thinking of making a bid for the company - my top up yesterday possibly added fuel to the fire Lollol ;D

Happy to report that i topped up again yesterday at these bargain levels :)
