Considering the ongoing promotion of the Bed &ISA concept that HL have brain washed us with since Bed& Breakfast bit the dust, only makes one think the reasoning can only be a financial one, let's face it they have now resorted to TV advertising.

Bed&ISA was discussed sometime ago, and I'm sure someone posted someone who is still doing it. HL only charged trading commission for one transaction, and the spread is minimal due to an instant transaction obviously agreed with the MM. via an in office phone call. You can still do it yourself but possibly at greater cost, l say possibly because there is an outside chance that you could make a profit on the transaction.
