For clarification. The last comment by BT was in reference to the possibility of Samsung making an offer for the company.
Article headed "British inventor Nanoco heads into battle over TV tech with Samsung in Texan court". Sorry, can't post a link as I get the paper electronically and it would be behind a paywall for non-subscribers. Mostly what we already know, but things I don't think I was aware of include:
Nanoco is seeking "up to $500m in damages". I don't think I have seen a figure put on the claim before.
There will be only 8 jurors.
Two comments from BT, one negative and one positive:
"placing the fate of the company in the hands of a jury gathered from the small Texan town of Marshall is risky ... you could end up holding your head in your hands even if you win"
"we are getting to a level of confidence where if Samsung came along and offered a significant premium, we'd say get stuffed".
Suzhou had 180 days right of first refusal to match any further fundraising from 7 March. If my arithmetic is right, that expires in about a week (4 September). Does anyone anticipate any other investor has been waiting in the wings for the 180 days to expire? Can we add that to the list of potential news that might move the share price?
Not bouncing as much as I would expect. .32 to .34 bid/offer currently. As a result of RNS at 9am instead of 7am? Have fewer noticed it?
Of course BT said "we're going to trial" - he's hardly going to say the trial is only a bluff!
Hawi thank you for keeping us posted. Much appreciated. However, I'm not sure I really understand this Gilstrap ex-cathedra. Is it good news for Nanoco? I don't like the sound of holding Nanoco to limitations, but do like the sound of allowing them to address issues raised by Samsung. What does it mean in practice?
Thanks again
NT on HL now. Have the brokers shut up shop early?
I've also reported. We should all do so and get him/her banned. Complete waste of space
It was and it has. Good call Kiwi
Any chartist out there? Is a break through 40p significant? If so, next resistance points? Thank you
As Griffiths reduces here, he seems to be increasing his holding in IQE. Up from less than 3% at the start of the month to 5.02% per RNS this morning.
If there is a business update, surely it has to be released by RNS before the AGM. On the other hand, the AGM presentation , if containing nothing new, could come later. Interesting times.
Has it begun? 102-105 now according to investing.com
Hawi, your sharing of the dockets is much appreciated. Thank you. Has anything you have seen given any indication of the anticipated duration of the trial?
It's been a while since we've had volume of 1billion. Will we get there today? According to Investing.com we're almost at 700,000 already and it's only lunchtime
NW. Thank you
