I'd say turn your eye in the mid term to more solid/high potential explorers - esp those around east Africa that aren't overhyped yet - ie Trp, Aex, Dpl, Gbp, Cov...some or all may have further to fall yet tho...my inclination right now is to let the Market bottom out - aim has been down in a straight line since I went away, maybe best to see some green shoots (or trade dead cat bounces is an option I guess)

Yes an equity distribution, but doesnt cover it all I think; and I still wouldnt want smallcap oil right now - look at the price drops of clean cos like New. Not an expert tho so feel free to take with some pinches of salt! Train to airport now, laters!

Not really, Im not hot on oil, esp small caps as this global slowdown hits those guys most. Plus iirc FRR have alot of debt, and I wouldnt like to be an indebted company seeking cash at a time like this. Remember most of the time though I speak from a mid to long term view point, in the short term of course anything can happen on AIM - the recent RXP and ORE rises are proof of that!

Na, I dont like bottom feeding so wouldnt anyway, just relieved I didnt buy at 18, and a bit disappointed at people like Winnifrith - those giving strong recommendations should only do so with absolute certainty. Of note is that the rises in the 3 smallcap stocks that went against the flow of the last drop - AAU, HMB? NGL? have all proved unjustified and at least in 2 cases, "bear traps".

The thing is if they cant do it this year, why next. Same as VGM. Im very sceptical about these huge mines with decades of mining - the easy gold has been taken. And I know gold is high but the costs here are just too much even so. And do people really want to invest...as opposed to trade...in a co that pulls a stunt like burying this price sensitive news rather than releasing an RNS at the appropriate time. Hence I assume the "business" reasons Villiers resigned for. Alot of other things to invest in instead.

Looking at again I think Daisan's correct. If you add up the 20 major shares holders on page 57 there's 70%, in the substantial shareholders list on page 11 not including Baker Steel you got 28%, so there's 98%. Therefore it's just the small matter of being low on funding.. Hopefully there will an some success in finding new investment in the near future. From iii

Doesnt bode well. Ive seen the reports and management get about 500k a year - not cheap for a co of this size so I dont buy the line that they deserve it. And at the end of the day the larket didnt think it was worth 2p, and the directors dont really think theyll be self sustaining any time soon or they wouldnt have done this placing. I did warn the placing was coming. Its a shame as I think this board has some great posters, who deserve better than this placing, but I fear your faith is misplaced. I imagine the buys are almost certainly sells btw. From a while ago. The price would explode on that level of buy volume.

I didn't realise it was coming back actually, just saw it as I was scanning RNS' this AM and realsied the new share placing was at a massive premium to the old price...! Could have got 91 but was 82.5 by the time the share centre were able to trade it...fair play to them tho, they were professional and acted with urgency. I think the old price is about 40p in new money so that's where most people stop selling in profit and begin selling at a loss I guess, if that helps. Alot of this is II held tho so it will probably go down up down etc quite fast...old MMS could certainly do a rise pretty sharpish when it wanted to.

Fair enough...I was always planning to sell so selling for 100% profit was a delight but I hope it makes 105p for you - be careful tho - EDL raised money at 1.8p this year and that didn't save it. The £4m at 105p is only 10% of m/cap remember, so most holders are 50-100% up.

Keep or sell? The equivalent pre suspension price is about 40p I think so all above is profit.

Relisted at twice the pre-suspension value! Got out at 82.5p (share centre couldn't trade it early on :() - it'll probably bounce back up but a bird in the hand, £3k on a £3k investment I thought I'd never see again, thanks very much.

the ones that helped pull the SP up. Funny, AAU and HMB seem to have had almost identical months. NGL kinda, but more of a spike.

Re gold I agree - it's just a case of how far that gold selling goes... Trades...can't see them yes - you think they're real time or delayed sells? I couldn't dummy buy over £10k before, so maybe, or it could be a bluff.
