Just keep in mind that when a company is taken over, they buy the order book. I would suggest that the order book needs to look pretty healthy to attract enough hedge against any SFO fall out.

Shads - It depends if you give Jillian Ambrose's Telegraph story from last November any credence as there has been next to no speculation (apart from here) regarding a takeover since. I wouldn't be surprised but as you said it could be wishful thinking.

The one chink in the TO theory off the back of Asfari buy is that, I'm not sure if he would be a brazen off the back off the issues he had in Italy. Asfari is a Billionaire, who would make a considerable wedge out of the sell regardless. In light of that an additional 10m seems like chicken feed in the scheme of things. It may have been more about steadying the boat. As MBUK has astutely pointed out, although contracts have been won (mainly around the same main contract) , the big multi-billion contract wins have seemed allusive this year. I hope I'm wrong but I feel this might have been more of a market facing act to keep the news rolling as show the backroom boys are easy with the current contract situation.

Shadows / Guy - You got to look at the window folks. Been a terrible day on the wider markets. Micro Focus crashed 55% and dragged the FTSe100 down, the US has been dragged down on Facebook privacy issues and the Fed Rate this week which normally affects commodities. PFC, in light of things has down OK.

Jep1 - Kind of a little obvious but there have been no sizeable sells. Most of the action seems political at the moment or diplomatic. It's highly unlikely to extend to companies. Worth pointing out that US Steel had a 7% down day this week too. This maybe more about large position taking before the tariffs kick in.

Any guesses. 1) Uncertainty around Canada/Mexico inclusion in tariff exemptions? 2) Russian oligarch embargo? 3) Poorly executed and timed profit taking by management? Wild speculation welcome

Worth pointing out too that it is coming to the end of the tax year, so you might see some 'moving of pieces' from some of the bigger players.
