Thriller40 the thing is it pays me divs and I live in hope to see 60p :-) I am selling 1/2 of them this year though after div day unless they hit 45p before div day and I will sell 1/2 then, just hoping for a rise tomorrow on them.
I do hate them though.

I did yes and got it wrong :-) as least I put up and say what I am doing, what I will say is I have made a mil and retired before the age of 55.
I did not follow my own thoughts and only just started to pump into IAG now in bigger amounts, drops in interest rates will help IAG thats for sure.
No one expected RR to be £3.30 this soon did they, but we are all happy now, def allowed me to retire before I had planned too. Along with some other great choices I have made along the way.

Thats not very nice, we are all here to make money, I am not as desperate as you to see more gains so fast thats all.
As I said post results day always happy not to see a drop these days.
Some people have green eyes and desperate on here it feels like. I just want to make 15% PA over all, that's an amazing place to be, trust me.
Bernyberlingo :-)
See though it upsets 60% of the board though when you state how simple the world is when you pair it down.
It's a great company, IT's British etc etc, NO ONE CARES, we are all here to make money, if it were falling no one would buy shares in it lol.
Many shares outclassed RR in gains after covid. remember it's been 4 years and no divs also.
meanwhile I have made big on Quite a few shares collecting Divs on the way. BP, boohoo, aston, Menzes, DX etc etc
I keep £100k org price in RR and I do think we will see circa £4.20 and a small div. So I do hold as part of a portfolio .
My biggest mistake was LLoyds !!! they do my head in but i still have £100k worth !
Wait till IAG take off. I have put quite a lot in IAG now, great recovery stock imo. but might take 2 years+ but am hoping £2 by xmas. \i still say IAG will double your money at £1.50 to £3 before RR doubles up at £3.30 to £6.60.
"HSBC operation can not be compared to RR"
that is where you are very wrong, Stockmarket and business only has one goal , making money, NOTHING more ! people go all Ga ga but them the facts.
People say Porsche make cars, Porsche make money !! when people realise the product makes no odds what so every EVERY company on the SM is viewed the same, Money and expectations. it's that simple.
Would I like RR to be £3.60+ tomorrow yes, but i guessed at £3.40 one of the lowest on this board. I don't care either way to be honest, but slighty happier to not see any drops over seeing big gains which then cannot be baked up 18 months down the line.
Just saying if $30.3bn is not enough profit lol even though it's up 78% from the year before.
I wish my company was 78% up from last year. the leak was 1.4b now the market will want to see £1.6b+ other wise we will see a drop. if it's below 1.4b we get a 10% drop.
SP is always 12 months ahead todays £3.30 was backed in. every thing has to run like clockwork now and meet RR 2.8b target.
SP is always 12 months ahead which is why we see many good results = SP drops. Results now have to meet expectations.
Of course the price is abit baked in. we have a wager on the 22nd SP lets see who is closest. for the record i set it at £3.40.
will just be happy to see a small lift over a big drop.
cat man "taking profits along the way is a good way to minimise risks - t"
i do it to enjoy the money. as an example i sold 50% of rr at £2 and bought another porsche which i love driving every day of my life.
no point being the richest man in the graveyard. the 50% left in still makes loads of money.
but then maybe i am in a position to not worry about making more money being retired before the age of 55.
i am happy if my total pot makes me 15% pa inc divs and i only take out 7% pa to fund my lifestyle.
i always keep £150k cash aside so i don't have to sell any shares in a hurry or any dips if needed but that's now making over 5% interest atm.
depends what your goals are, but don't just count your money it's dull, you don't need a lot of money really to have a nice life. i know people who still work their ****s off and have over 3 mil in the bank. i don't get it.
meanwhile i am driving the ring in a porsche and taking trips to spa with the lads ;-) that's worth more than making another £100k to me. get out of any debt and you don't need a lot of money to live off.
the issue today is sm and people think they can live in debt !! and want to live that insta life !
£7 in 11 months is laughable imo but time will tell, but i would say that's not a goal. that's delusion !
