average 6.1% return in 12 months !
as always don't follow fools.
happy with my aviva today not even in the list, i had bp made 67% + divs, they lost 15%
the rest i would not touch with a barge pole !
never buy off "fund managers" you will never get into 2 digit profit, my mate put 1 mil in lost 8% so far !!
my old tiny pension pot which i am trying to get out is down over 40% over the last 2 years ! **** knows what they do with the money ! i just want it out !
makes no sense to pay off a low interest mortgage
it does thats a great time to pay it off as you are paying off capital. no debt is good debt.
again a few friends did nothing in the low interest times , they spent the extra money on ****, now the rates are up they are moaning like hell they are £500 a month worse off !!
if they paid a bit off in the good times they could maybe have lower repayments in the bad times.
tough ****ty imo.
I have no debt my rating is 998. you can have a high rating and no debt.
It's not old school, it's being savvy and not living that champagne lifestyle with pocket money !
Try and get a mortage with debt , even the people earning £150k get annoyed as they cannot afford the house they wanted due to other debt. but those very same £150k PA wage people have 2 cars at 3k a month on a PCP !! there is £6k gone every month ! on nothing !! the bank owns their cars ! AT some point you cannot carry on that way unless you keep working to 70+ years old which a lot of high earners do as they still own nothing !!
most peoples own rules are **** hence the £50k debt of ave per house, 2 cars on pcp and zero savings ol
i get a few people/friends ask me how did i make it ? even people on 3x my income who have nothing !
i then look over their bills and complete outgoings vs income and make them a set of rules to live by on a spread sheet, no one manages it so far most don;t even last 2 months , they are still all poor and will have to work till 67 , i am doing ok.
i even help 60+ year olds but no one listens as evrey one today wants it all now !!
what do people do wrong in the main, live by their own rules which in the main is champagne lifestyle lemonade money.
Bzohdan we don;t live long enough to win the lottery though. but IAG will double in 24 months I am sure.
RR took a lot of downs before the big up's get in early you make big money, again look at RR most long termers have an ave sub £1 but then the big boys wait and buy in over £2 !! as they don't like sitting on a stock. IAG is the same, DX for me was the same 400% up but took a few years. Like I said before rather make 300/400% over 3/4 years than sit on div income at 7% PA.
I do own £***k of div income stock though just to make sure I get paid a bit while you wait for the BIG gains.
Rule one have no debt.
rule 2 only buy shares you can afford to loose.
if the UK had no debt we would be world number one. ave house without a mortgage is over £50k in debt !
I don;t use a credit card unless I know it is going to be fully paid by month end !
to say "I borrowed money to buy other stuff " DON'T DO IT !!
Mystic I got called out for what ?, buying and selling some IAG shares lol give over FFS.
quick punt and made 11% kept my ones at £1.02p (>40% up on the one I kept) all happy with IAG, I sold most before the results day. I'll buy back in later on.
Have we got a £3.80 close yet on RR ? nope. Do I want it to beat my target of August yes of course.
It's simple, why people say I am miles out is up to them NO ONE KNOWS ! most sound desperate for a rise which is odd maybe late to the party and have green eyes.
Happy days for me , I hope we all hit £4.20 sooner than later 2025 of course I do.
WILL IAG double, yep pretty sure they will at some point.
Net cat: "vulgar indeed.
I simply asked if you’re going to adjust that 380p of august now we have hit in 5 months early."
As I have said before only way to back up claims is to be honest about figures, that's not vulgar imo.
People on here always say "you don't have X or Y" So I am up front with my trades my holdings and figures, it's that simple. That upsets some, shuts up some, or get some green eyes like Mystic who likes people to loose money and laugh about it. A horrible person to be fair and don't really have much support on here or any big money in the game.
I am not changing my £4.20 target as yet for Feb 25 as that's 43p away. And we don't yet have a £3.80 closing price, it's now 3p off.
Lets see what happens, if it beats my own targets by a few months that's amazing.
I like to look at 20 to 30% turn arounds within 3 months even at £3.50 + 30% is £4.55
So I don't buy RR any more but I don't sell either.
IAG was a punt, I made 11% on the ones I sold (I did keep my 102p IAG buy shares though they sit at >40% up ), I have 3 or 4 other punts going on atm.
Some one else asked about my IAG doubles fail, IMO it still will, I am also a long term holder on stocks.
DX was 9p for 3+ years, we got 47p for them in the sell off. that's over 400% up , rather sit on a share for 3 to 4 years knowing you will get a 400% rise than make 6 % div stocks PA ! I'll take 400% over 3 years every time.
My remaining IAG shares at 102p will double in 24 months I hope, if they drop below £1.30 i'll bin them off and wait for a new entry point. But i WILL add to IAG once they make better noises.
As always DYOR and quoting trades and values is NOT vulgar that's "FACT".
A well off Clown :-) No ones knows the prices vs target dates do they, hence we all trade and chat about it for fun, no harm done, unless you make it personal which seems common on here. Why do this ?
I said this will reach £4.20 within 12 months the SP is always hitting targets way before I expect them that's all good news imo.
It's now March, August is less than 5 months away. Happy to see it hit targets before my dates every time.
love to see it hit £3.80 before August we are not quite there yet :-)
Some green eyes about on here, I am up over £80k in 2 months that's ok with me.
I am out of IAG for the time being, made 11%, will keep an eye on this one though it will have it's day I am sure.
was hoping for £1.65 on results day did not happen so what.
Always looking for recovery stocks have 3 great stock I am looking at for 30% gains in 2 to 3 months.
Can I quote the cats £7 fopar in Feb 2025 ? because that is def not happening in 11 months.
DYOR have fun guys.
Mystic exposed lol. It's def a hold atm for me. I did sell 30% of IAG before results day
to edge bets, only hold £50k worth and 10% up still i was buying these at 102 ! I don;t hold any over 1.42.
I am well up today over all, I hold Lgen and LLoyds so in the blue yet gain.
IAG was a little disapointing but it will have it's day. but they still earning me more than cash in the bank by 100%
You are a funny bloke. Wishing losses on others, as I said you have "green eyes"
As always DYOR and don't wish losses on others !
My IAG is up 11% ! I did not sell any RR to buy IAG, I just put some cash in to IAG, I did actually sell 30% of my holding of iag 4 days ago and took some profit as resuts day can be iffy, but yes was hoping for £1.65 today. Debt is killing them.
Over all though £80k up in 2 months so it's a great run, as always have a balanced portfolio. I sold up £50k of stock last week in the peaks. no RR though :-) LLoyds, aviva and lgen all about to pay out divi's so will net another £28k on Divs this year. Should end the year >£150k up and that's with IAG staying at £1.50. what an amazing 12 months.
Happy trading lets hope interest rates drop sooner than June ! BOE is killing the UK atm
