I have £36k div income PA and hold 3 years cash, so close the doors and wait for the war to be over and oil down to at least $80.

nothing any one can do but plan for dips and mini crashes. Nvidia is booming and my S&P 500 fund also booming, I am new into these but both up 27% in 10 months.

Why people cry in dips is strange. WE all got rich in Covid a massive dip :-) and it's some times once in a life time , but with a war you get buying windows.

Buy RR now at £11.80 was better than buying at £14.20 in March !!

ALso due to big increased in divs % companies like Aviva is a 7% div buy in now !

i now put away £830 to cover food and dd for heating and electric is £145. cc is now just daft £270 a month ! mortage rates are 5% if you have one.

PS we moan about a £2 RR drop, but out in the non investing world people are getting in BIG debt inc the GOV !!

Aviva pay out today at 7% lgen pay out this month at 9.3% RR will pay us 1% ! so while we are worse off than last year, we have to still think how lucky we all were with RR and how we did from it, and I hope how we will do from it in 18 months time fingers cross £15 +

uk is going under now pretty fast people cannot cope with 15/20% inflation. i expect a house price correction soon in the £600k/£800k market.

those people cannot afford to move upto the next bracket now with this inflation they son;t have the stamp duty to be able to move let along a 5% mortgage on a £800k house.

the min wage people bank clarks etc and most of the public are totally on their knee's now i see a lot of people i used to visit who work for these companies finding it hard with fuel and cc and food bills.

IAG up 6% today, always have a balanced pot. Although I am not sure why IAG is up when oil shot up. But happy days.
