yes very hard, 2020/2021 was all recovery sock, pick any share you made money.

Today, it's not easy with wars and recession talks. the markets could crash 25% easy, and that DOW bottom was just a bounce before the real thing.

I don't reinvest my divs it's daft to buy then.

best time to buy stock is post ex div day or a week later, it will bounce today then imo drop again, seems the normal dead cat bounce today, be cheaper tomorrow imo than now.

it's more abuot wind fall TAX's, the war ending and the oil price plus the recession.

The thing for me is now at 437 to make 10% it has to hit 480 and that feels hard work !!

some say we will have high prices for 18 months and the recession will only drop the a few % but get oil back down to $60 and no war then we could see it below £4 again imo. hence I sold a 25% stake today in BP. one can always buy back later if it drops. When is the bottom or the top no one knows. DId we all have a fake DOW bottom a few months back.

no one knows other wise we would all be on holiday, not sitting here trying to make a few ££

I called a big drop after div day, and here we are with it.
Companies SP never makes big money if they offer big divs 99% of the time.

THATS THE BIG ONE.

I am about £70k down from the highs in Jan ish (up over all ) but down if i would have sold some at the tops.

Hence today even though I think BP will hit 460+ I sold 25% today at 54% profit. plus also kept the div just gone by.
I am fed up of loosing profit the last 2 years, now I know on that sell I have made 53% and it's mine for keeps.

we are going to hit a recession, I think you need 40% cash out at least by the end of the year, stuff like RR I know a lot are in, but you just forget for 3 years that one.. But some of the big boy shares imo take some profit NOW. we will see a bleak 2023. I know a few big, and I mean big traders who are all out already like 1 mil £ out. or at least 50% out.

Oil is a funny thing BP now follow the oil price 50% people say oil will be $70 50% say it will go back to $130
and I am talking top experts not people on here. it's pure gambling atm it feels like.

now while I have typed this oil price has just shot up so has BP again lol. but it can easy be 380p again...

it's not due to lower demand, it was due to lower rate drops from China, be $130 again soon.

SO demand will force brent upto $130 and stay above $100 in 2023.

yep lloyds should be at min 50p atm

and a real value of 60p :-(

I don;t get this PS at all FTSE up lloys was 51p interest rates up, but lloyds 45p makes no sense to me

should be 55p or 60p by now, confused.
