35 is not that long,(when you say not too bad, you have been doing this 35 years but still doing it, so it seems you have not made the big bucks to stop doing it yet ! ) we get very few goes at life to make bigger money, recessions and covid can offer these 100%/200% gains over 15% gains PA year on year if you are lucky. I have made 2 or 3 100% gains on a few and 50/60% gains on a few the last 2 years. NOT BY sitting on my hands though.

I don;t want to be doing this for 35 years that's for sure. it's ok after a recesstion to invest for divs if you are retired, but not if you are trading.

we should sell our full portfolio's today, and buy 100% all RR at 72p

you could double your money in 24 months :-) maybe even 18 months !

I sit here looking at my "portfolio" and the drops we see daily and the recession coming, and think, sell all £300k up and go all in on RR at 72p ;-)

Your money will double, as most shares have recovered from covid no other share really has 100% coming !!

This share will be 140p within 2 years imo. forget the BP and Aviva divs ****ing about at 6 % or what ever, make 100% !

I know most people "portfolio" are down 20% since Jan the divs are crap vs the FTSE dropping day on day.

ok I tend to sell if I have made a lot and if a recession is coming buy back in lower.

Every one does what they feel is right, it's gambling in a way what ever you do.

I think the FTSE will drop and when that happens cash is king to buy in. SItting on your hands watching your portfolio drop 1% a day is not my ideal.

WE have really had 15 days of drops on the FTSE in real terms, people say ok it's only 1 % today, now a lot of people have lost 25% since Jan sitting on their hands !

It's hard I did not sell enough when my head said sell, I am £70k down since Jan. Lucky up over all and it will come back, but cash is def king ATM hence I have been selling daily and prices still drop day on day World wide and no ones even said we are in a recession yet ! I think 6800 is coming in the FTSE we could easy see another 25% drop.

You can watch it drop 1% a day untill then if that's your bag ;-)

I bet people said it was not going to be £1.93 2 years ago.
BUT if you look at the charts BP was dropping from £6 to £4.50 pre covid as it was.

Hence why I sold 50% of my stock and made 60%

FTSE could easy see 6800 Q1 2023 :-(

I have sold 50% of my BP at 60% proffit, I always think it's best selling 50% when you have made 50%

problem is it's the biggest faller on the FTSE 100 today now 7%

the FTSE has dropped in real terms 12 days in a row and it's not stopping any time soon.

turn off your computers for 18 months so you don;t see the pain or sell out now.

FTSE will be 6800 imo or less.

72p now, I did tell every one to sell 50% of every thing a few weeks back.

well to drop below the 79p support is not good, it might as well go back to 35p now

the FTSE crash and dow have been dropping since Jan down 25% I guess another 25% to come in q4.

3.5% down from today high now :-(

my only share in the red today ! was going to sell £5k worth as well at 9 am o well.

tough markets every one is waiting for a DOW or FTSE crash then every thing drops 25%

yes why vote, they all lie, I just work hard and keep my head down.
I am Tory but don;t agree with what they have been doing the last 15 years :-(
