Perseus, that's a blast from the past. I held shares in Amara when they bought them out, but sold before the deadline day as I think it involved warrants & was not sure if I could include it in my isa - or something like that, lol. Still made a tidy sum as it went from 10p to about 17p in the space of about a fortnight once the buyout, amalgamation was announced.

I'm not gloating, my portfolio is well down, but I got out of this a while back & was just curious what ST's take on it was that's all. I remember posting on here how I had a couple of chances to get out @ £2.60 & missed it. It has fallen a long way even allowing for the hit on tech.

Hello folks, been keeping up with events on the board but not posted as sold out a long time ago to pursue a different investement startegy, which if any comfort to you all is not doing so good either - lol. Hang in there guys/girls might be tempted to have a dabble in the coming months as the software I use to pick stock, ie high ROCE, but cheap valuation, is indicating this as a buy within the gold mining sector.
