"Regulator...
Are you not a little bit disappointed with the rns today?
I'm always interested in your posts and read them thoroughly...
Regards lj"
No - I think it was necessary because:
(a) a material Contract Award Notice had been published over the weekend); and,
(b) the misinterpretation, misunderstanding and misrepresentation that was going on on social media (including on here, e.g. where there were claims we'd be getting £374m per quarter) has the real potential to impact the share price.
As I've always said, I view ODX as a long term hold. I've got a large chunk sitting in my SIPP that's going to help fund my retirement fripperies, when I retire again*.
Lots of people are concentrating on the Covid side of things but, as the likes of Tonic and Merchantbanker point out, ODX is about much more than that... and those other aspects will come to the fore in the coming years. Colin has been very canny in using the last year to consolidate relationships with a number of other businesses, to grow the business and position ODX at the heart of UK (and world) diagnostic manufacturing.
*I retired a few years ago in my mid-40s but got bored. My other half has another 7 years before he can take NHS early retirement so I'll probably carry on until then.
