Jeez - wish I’d never mentioned my amazement that SOLG has held its SP better than GGP and imho without good cause. But hey-ho we are all entitled to our opinion and Zoros, Sharketmare and Lseo have shown their hands and entitled to be defensive if that makes them feel happy. Point is, GGP are steaming towards production in a low risk territory and Shaun has put loads in place to make GGP a rip roaring success imho - so no one can make me unhappy about that and I wouldn’t trade my GGP shares for any other play at this particular point in time. Thanks for the real technical assessment Bamps - I think the truth is that Zoros is more a SOLG man than GGPer and sensitive to any inadvertent criticism of the former. My point quite simply was that from what I have researched about SOLG there is little to substantiate them holding their price better than GGP who post excellent drilling results time after time, plus big boy involvement, improved BoD etc. etc. I will carry on being patient but I do wish our SP had been more resilient akin to SOLG. Nice try Zoros but it goes deeper than that - far more considerations - I note the main one is that you’re heavily invested in SOLG so I have touched a nerve but this isn’t just about numbers as to why SOLG have not (yet) dipped too much below 18p - they do after all have funding issues to consider to get where they need to get to whilst GGP is on an express train to ore production. And you’re a bit light on GGP valuations for a GGP shareholder aren’t you??

Hi TT - I’m always bemused as to why SOLG has rarely dipped much below 18p with or without any seemingly valuable news and yet we slumped to the 6p’s and have struggled ever since to get anywhere near 10p let alone 20p. I look at both Companies and try not to put the rose tinted glasses on, but can’t see anything in SOLG for it to sustain decent double figures on SP when our story cries out for at least mid-teens before we get the DFS/DTM real news. Gets my goat if I dwell on it!!! What I do know with AIM is that situations can change very quickly!!!

Sorry Toffers - I had an uneasy feeling about you when you were being subtle over beneficial shareholders in a corporate arena. I am going to go with my gut instinct and green bin you - if I miss your pearls of wisdom I will let you know, but you seem a bit slippery for my liking.

Thanks Brom - been on to HL and made a request for the Resolutions - very easy but if you don’t vote then you shouldn’t complain if things turn out a different way than what you would like. You might get out-voted but far better than not voting at all imho!!

Seems you’re trying to make yourself look clever with a play on words as to why the petition will not succeed, but your explanations are unclear and misleading - what will happen with petition will happen, but not because of your explanation which is spurious. Who owns the Company Toffers?

Toffers - I’m not sure what you are going on about. The following extract shows exactly what a share certificate does and it means quite simply that a shareholder owns shares in a Company (normally on a Limited Liability basis and hence why indemnity insurance is not required) up to the portion of shares they own. So shareholders do own something - the shares they buy - so technically shareholders own the Company in the proportions of shares they hold. See the following explanation and why imho the Petition is founded on honest grounds - if you don’t like it, just don’t sign the Petition - but no need to rubbish it : -

A share certificate, which is produced and issued by a company, certifies on a certain date that a person is the registered owner of shares in that company. The key information shown on the certificate includes the name and address of the shareholder, the class of shares and number of shares held.

In terms of the Companies Act 2006, it is considered prima facie evidence (‘sufficient evidence unless the contrary is shown’ in Scotland) of the member’s ownership of shares in the company.

I think you are labouring this somewhat Culpepper, or just being obtuse? The 5 are not coming from small to larger - quite the reverse. They may end up part of something very much larger but this is what I am pointing out - what was it that enticed 5 expert and experienced and well regarded individuals to ALL want to be part of GGP’s future. I do not believe it was on a whim, nor any sleight of hand by Shaun (not possible for them all to fall for it). So what do they know that we do not, that makes them risk their reputations by joining the minnow GGP (from where they hail from?) I cannot be clearer that in my opinion, they see/know something good is going to happen at GGP. There are big reputations at stake here, whether you can see that or not.

Culpepper - your post at 11.49 - you say you don’t think their (our 5 new experts) reputations are on the line by joining GGP? Not sure if you’ve ever worked for your whole career in one industry, but if you had you would know that building your own reputation is key to your own success - a bad one, or a “chequered” CV gives you no leverage in an industry you are seeking to succeed in. So these 5 experts would not have joined GGP (or any other explorer) on a whim that it might work out. They would not want to attach their reputation to something that fails badly, particularly bearing in mind where they joined from - it would show poor judgement on their part. This is big boy (or girl) territory where careers are made or thrown away by entries on a CV - they know this, business minded people know this and hence why I am convinced they ALL joined GGP for the good it can bring them. We shall see.

Latest musings - I started thinking about Shaun’s appointments to the BoD and Exec Mgt and let’s just pretend that Shaun was running out of ideas as to how to develop GGP against the might of NCM (SB) - so he thought bringing in a big name in the industry would be good for profile and for additional experience. He would still have had to persuade that big name that this would be good for them financially and as perhaps their “swan song”. Now it is just possible (though admittedly highly unlikely) that he was able to hoodwink one big name into joining GGP knowing there was little or nothing in it for them except huge risk. And that’s where the story falls apart, because there is no way logically that Shaun could have persuaded FIVE big industry names to join GGP if there was nothing in it for them except huge risk that could tarnish their own massive reputations for thriving in this industry. So therefore I have to conclude that these 5 industry experts in their field have ALL joined GGP because they can see a huge (and I suggest compelling) future that they want to be part of and are happy to risk their own reputations for. So that’s why I will stand firmly behind Shaun as he is either a genius or a master manipulator to con 5 industry experts to join GGP with nothing to show for their commitment - I am fully confident it is the former!!!
