The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Hi Jerry - HNY to you and all posters - your post at 10.21 this morning would be fair enough if all shorters could be classed as “potential buyers”. Sadly you are omitting the fact that some shorters are in the business of deliberate manipulation and driving an SP downwards through questionable practice. On the other hand YNWA91 makes a solid point that no one complains when the SP goes up and without the AIM being subject to FCA regulation we ALL surely know what we are investing into when we buy GGP shares (on AIM).
I am not seeking to extend the shorting debate (as it has been done to death) but I am more aligned to YNWA’s way of thinking than to be considering shorters as our allies - I’ve seen them cripple too many investors in the past. Good luck to us all.
Beautifully put Panama and I agree wholeheartedly with your 14.33 post.
This will be my last post this year so I take the opportunity to thank Shaun, his BoD and the whole GGP Team for doing all they can possibly do as a junior partner to keep Havieron moving towards fruition. I also thank all of the regular contributors to this Board who always post positively (without purely ramping) and mostly backed up with evidence - some I have been lucky to meet at Roadshows and some feel like friends even though we haven’t met yet - I wish all of the aforementioned a Merry Xmas and a stupendous New Year when hopefully all of your dreams come true!!! Best wishes Red.
So many like Tiggerman were going ape at Shaun and the BoD demanding the MRE3 and he delivers a beauty before year end as he promised and look what has happened - the SP still declines. What will placate Tiggerman next? When we should all be celebrating a great result before Xmas - sadly we can only do so in terms of what the MRE3 means ultimately, rather than any immediate impact on the SP - irony!! Still, there is much to look forward to in 2024 and I for one will not let the barsteward shorters win without a fight - VGLA and Merry Xmas whatever the SP does!!
Hi Bamps - thanks for your assessment today, as valuable and insightful as ever. The part I was going to mention (which you have as well) is that I remember one of your presentations where YOU stated that you expected the Eastern Breccia would connect up to the Northern Breccia - I’m sure a lot of us thought that would be too good to be true - but lo and behold this latest RNS confirms it once and for all that the two Breccias are continuous!!! You should be immensely proud of yourself for calling something 2 years+ in advance of it actually happening. It just proves to any who might doubt your analysis, that you really are on top of the nitty gritty and know exactly what you’re talking about. Thankfully I always knew it and hence why I have always found your views balanced, professional and worth exploring further. Thank you Bamps - long may it last!! Good luck to us all in 2024 and beyond - Merry Xmas!!
Hi Gman - consolidation in itself is not necessarily a bad thing because as you say a shareholder may end up holding less shares than before but at a compensatory higher value. The reason consolidation is frowned upon is because it is typically then abused (only by those Companies who seek to) by then using dilution to raise capital all over again. My personal view is it is at least fair of AG to offer it up to shareholders to vote on it first (which he seems to be saying) and I like his reference to new and existing shareholder faith in 88E that he intends to reward (or words to that effect). Like any share on AIM investors just need one lucky break and it can make all the difference in the world - I hope ours in 88E is coming at last - VGLA
