For this to "ten bag" from here what would be your realistic guess time-wise and in your opinion (won't hold you to it) could this be the type of investment to hold tight to and merely draw off sums from it where needed, or do you have an SP that would make you sell the lot? I realise a total buy out would take that choice out of your hands. Thanks buddy.

Sorry City but you sound an awful lot like Mercedesman who posted most of this at 3.19 pm over on GGP - I know we are both invested here and GGP but perhaps you forgot? I agree the sentiment all the same.

Great post Mercman - with you all the way - never sold a single share and not going to until GH gets his just rewards for doing a fab job here. Patience is the hard thing but it rewards the brave!!

Good evening all 88ers - delighted with the news today. We now have physical proof that a top tier investor has spent months and months in our data room and come to the conclusion that they can sell up a profitable venture elsewhere (dyor) in order to invest in us on the North Slope. We also know that DW can strike a tough bargain as he has exchanged the minimum for substantial back up and support from Premier Oil. These big boys do not give money away and they also look to negotiate hard. So what is there not to like? DW has delivered the FO, derisked and now working with a class act that converts exploration into production. The catch? Patience - pure and simple. Premier Oil will want to prove up the oil and they clearly believe our resource is going to be more profitable for them than where they were invested. All comes to those who wait - I still hold every share I ever bought and now my grip on them is tighter than ever. VGLA true 88ers!!

Spike - it is more a calculated assumption than just opinion. Quality party and preferred bidder do not conjure up lower tier players and now we have a FO Ann still shrouded in mystery as to who we are dealing with. This may not be just Tier 1 this could be the Top of Tier 1 - DW’s Ann was very restrained and almost prescribed - who could impose that if not a sizeable player. We shall see very shortly but not worth worrying about a bit of 2 + 2 work - let’s just be happy DW secured interest from our preferred bidder.

From previous RNS’s we were dealing with a preferred bidder and that we did not need to go to Tier 2 or below. As this FO has proceeded is it not safe to assume it is with our preferred bidder who is Tier 1 - otherwise I stand to be corrected?

Delighted that following my post yesterday I am able to reaffirm the judgement of DW today. The RNS is pointed and brief and tells us that the deal with the Toer 1 has been signed - well done DW and the Team. This should now execute drilling plans for 2020 but it does not tell us how or exactly when. There is also no emotion expressed such as “we are delighted to announce....” so the terms of the FO are also yet unknown, but if DW has delivered the FO with a “preferred Tier 1 bidder” it is reasonable to expect that DW has negotiated acceptable terms for 88E. So to the future - it should now look more secure than without this FO and we have a real chance to prove up PB’s work. This will take time and the SP will fluctuate but we now have grounds to carry on believing in DW and the Team (assuming no nasty last minute shocks) VGLA true 88ers the wait is beginning to show reward

Good morning all - some great posts this morning already - thanks Jiddy, Guzzler, Phrontist, The East to name just a few. We are entering unknown territory and this is where those of us who have shown belief in DW till now will either celebrate their judgement, or perhaps rue the day. Personally, never sold a single share since 2016 and have everything crossed that we move forward never to look back. All the true 88ers deserve that and I believe DW is gritty and determined to deliver - VGLA!!!

1st June tomorrow and what seems like true patience to get to this point, could be life changing within the next month. If you are like me and feel you have done your own research and invested wisely because all the right elements exist, then really the news we await should only be good news and well deserved at that!! I'm nervous I admit but not because I don't believe in the reasons I invested, but just because I'm expecting more bad luck rather than good news borne of credible research. I wish us all the news we deserve this month VGLA 88ers!!

Didn’t see HaT’s lips move on that answer but whilst I agree your points BtB - it was Newcrest that saw our potential and put in the money - not Rio so why is it being referred to by Sharetalk as potentially great news for Greatland - what if Rio disagree with Newcrest ventures and pull the plug - that wouldn’t be great news, so just wondering if I missing something obvious, or whether we just have to wait for Sharetalk to explain their comment? Thanks.
